I'm going away on Saturday for a couple of weeks, so no games for me - but I'll get the ball rolling for the game thread!

Aldershot v Wrexham
Braintree v Macclesfield
Chester v Maidstone
Dover v North Ferriby
Forest Green v Gateshead
Guiseley v Dagenham
Lincoln v Sutton
Solihull v Bromley
Southport v Woking
Torquay v Barrow
Tranmere v Eastleigh
York v Boreham Wood

Improvement over Tuesday is required, otherwise we'll get turned over with ease.

Whilst we were better on Tuesday than we were last Saturday this Saturday is going to be an uphill battle. Defensively we improved as the game went on the other night but obviously Lincoln are on fire up front. We do have a couple of big guys who are good in the air at the back, but I don't know if it'll be enough. Realistically only the optimists can see us getting anything here

If you survive the opening 20 minutes without conceding, you'll have done well. We press like hell at home. It's away where we seem to be employing long ball/long throw tactics.

Another win would be superb, but I'd be more than happy to take a draw to round off a solid start to the season. Interesting to see if McDonagh forces his way into the starting lineup now after Tuesday, it would be good for Harrad to get more match fitness though and he always works tirelessly, so wouldn't surprise me if he stuck with the same starting 11.

We conceded after 7 minutes on Tuesday and went to draw (whilst looking stronger with every passing moment) so if I wouldn't be overly surprised if you scored early, but then we're not North Ferriby. Or Woking....

I had been feeling slightly bullish after last Saturday, but Aldershot took that straight out of me, and now we're without Driver, so unless someone finds their shooting boots we may well struggle this week.

Aldershot don't seem to be as terrible.as they were last year so I'd be happy with a draw.

We do seem to start games very quickly and have scored early on in lots of pre season games and in one of the first two league games. I reckon we will cause Sutton some big problems defensively but also think a decent team can cause us problems at the back. Not sure what to expect but I doubt it's going to be a dull 0-0. Hopefully getting around 4000 for our first home Saturday game which would be a huge improvement on last seasons average.

*Ahem* It's time for you to all get excited, after the week we allowed you all to take centre stage I hope you are satisfied as the spotlight needs to be pointed towards the north as AFCR&D open the NPLD1S season.

That's right, the most important fixture you'll all be ruing the inability to keep up with via your favourite apps is finally here. Newcastle Town vs AFCR&D.

Newcastle Town are a mid-table side from the NPLD1S, finishing 14th last season. I've gone for a rather uninspiring draw in this one as Diamonds struggle a bit to gel, having changed about half the squad, as was always going to be the case when changing division, we're probably going to struggle a bit early doors and play catch-up to the top sides.

Hoping for a win against Wrexham. Think this will be a better test of our home form than the midweek one against Stones.

Will the Total Football goal flood start against Gateshead will be my other thoughts on the day :£

Tough game for us, although we bullied them (so they said) and won up there last season, so more of the same please.
Expecting a few changes from the same 11 that have started both our games so far.
Really looking forward to getting to this game, to see how we manage against one of the sides i feel will be in the top 3 come end of April.

Having scanned through the Sutton squad, there are a lot more recognisable faces in it than you usually find in newly promoted sides. Lots and lots of FL experience in there.

Will certainly be the toughest of our 3 so far and hopefully a good attendance (definitely not the 6k Sutton's manager has come out with!).

Yay, Eastleigh. I can't wait for this year's display of skill from the thugs in blue. Hopefully we'll show a bit more resilience this time around and get some revenge for last year. Fingers crossed for a no-nonsense ref, as well. #bitter

Home to Curzon Ashton on Saturday. 26 goals in the four games the two clubs have played so far so... 0-0 it is!

Blast from the past for us on Saturday playing Boston for probably the first time since our League 2 days, shame its nout ar our new ground currently bein put together in darlo but bishop auckland will have to do. Looking forward to it, as a London exile dont normally get to too many games but will be there for this one and expecting a decent crowd of around 1,750.

As for the result we're still waiting on international clearance from the Welsh FA to allow Mark Beck to play. If we get it I'd imagine he will start up top with either Hardy or Cartman. With the rest of the team unchanged from our game at altrincham. Hopefully we'll be solid in defence and if we can do what we're capable of I reckon we could be good for a 2-1 or 2-0 win. Here's hoping anyway.

I couldn't believe how fat some of your players were (well I could believe Jamie Collins was fat). Which makes it even worse that we couldn't beat you on home turf.

Start of the season I would have settled for a draw after last season's 1-0 loss despite one of our most dominant displays of the season. But with 1 point from 6, we can't afford not to win, otherwise we'll be 8 points off the pace already.

Guiseley away and I am very excited.
One things for sure - there will be goals. No idea how many for each team but we seem to be going for wins this season rather than all the draws of last. We've not got the balance right as yet but it'll be entertaining :D

Looking forward to a first trip up to your place! We're getting there about 12 so will hopefully try a couple of the local pubs.

Coopers for a more modern feel, The Station is more traditional. Both only 10 minutes walk away.

I think we have to set an expectation to win on Saturday, again, no excuses. We have to put away the teams who are going to be mid-table or lower regularly if we want to challenge Tranmere for the title.

Looking forward to our game against Maidstone after Tuesday. I just hope that Sam Hughes isn't overlooked as he was on Tuesday. The lad needs to be playing.

Massive six pointer for us at Southport. If anyone loses this then they'll be destined for THE DROP.

With our lack of attacking threat, if Chester score they will win....That's how little confidence i have in any of our forwards

Our manager should of been looking for new forwards months ago. Not now when anyone half decent is already under contract.

I couldn't believe for much money your players are on how bad some of them actually are. Especially striking wise. And Collins is big boned

No idea what the expectation is at Aldershot is this season? Another mid-table expected, or better?

Would be fairly happy with a draw, 5 points from 3 games (1 home 2 away) would be a decent enough start from the opening week.

Finishing above definitely-not-local-rivals-Woking is the only thing they care about.

Finishing above definitely-not-local-rivals-Woking is the only thing they care about.

Not all of us...for some of our younger fans who have only known the reformed club Woking and Farnborough are the rivals.

For us old fuckers it will always be the six fingered, plastic shithouses from Berkshire.

After the last four years, decent attacking football with plenty of entertainment. Judging by the first two games, that's what we are going to get. First test against a proper football team on Saturday after the aerial bombardment from Barrow and the shutupshopedness of Maidstone. Hoping for an open game with plenty of goals and a narrow Shots win.
