We’ve been scoring a couple of goals in each game and you haven’t conceded at home so something has to give. We’re a totally different side to the one that came to home park last year. Much more organized. We’ve got Burns out at RWB and our left sided second choice wing back missing. Other than that we’re at full strength besides Camara who we haven’t yet seen. Tell you one thing though, stick a fiver on Morsy to be booked in this one. Printing money!
I can see a tight 1-1 here to be honest
Yeah its a bit of a shame that Camara will not be fit to face us tbh. I agree with the prediction of a draw and will be awfully surprised if we walk away with our clean sheet record in tact.

Plymouth Away on Sunday should be a good match. Would take a draw at this moment in time realistically with their home record and our appalling record on Sky! Can't remember the last time I saw us win when it's been televised.

Looking forward to Saturday.
Shrews fans - is it doable to walk from the train station ( via the pubs ) to the ground ? Or is it too far from the centre ?
Every time I’ve been before I’ve drove and come in from the a5 end so not sure on how far out you are.

It's an absolute fucking trek. Good luck.

We got taxis to the ground but had a Police escort all the way back to the station and it took forever.

The walk from the town centre is about 2 miles. Easy to navigate but it's about 35-40 minutes. Quite a few pubs along Belle Vue on the way, I think some let in travelling fans but not 100% sure

If you come in by train and walk to the town centre then we're actually a pretty good away day to do tbf. Takes me about 20-25 minutes to walk from the town centre to the stadium but I am a quick walker. Takes me about half an hour when I'm with the old man.

If you want something up market and fancy then go to either The Boathouse, The Loopy Shrew, Ten & Six, Blind Tiger, The Armoury, Cromwell's Inn, Henry Tudor House.

If you want pubs then I'd go to either The Bulls Head (which is the first pub you'll see from the station), The Castle Vaults (next door to the Bulls Head), Three Fishes, The Admiral Benbow, The Salopian Bar, Nags Head (personal favourite and the closest pub to the old stadium on Wyle Cop).

Must do's I'd say are the Castle Vaults, Three Fishes and the Nags Head. Just avoid Yorkshire House (strange goth/emo pub).

These are just a handful of whats in the town centre, there's plenty more pubs en route to the stadium but if I was you I'd get there early doors and spend the afternoon drinking in the town centre and leave to head to the stadium at 2:15/20pm.

Thanks. From what I recall it’s an excellent town centre, lots of interesting pubs and old buildings. Will give it a go on the train.

If we don't get a penalty tomorrow we will equal the record of 72 games without a penalty set by Galway United...

Let’s be honest we all know we are missing it even when we do finally get one. It’s guaranteed.

Will watch it on iFollow today. Was toying with going but frankly I’m not especially thrilled at the thought of paying Peterborough £27 for the privilege.

Sky have picked a real whopper of a game next Saturday, fuck me it won't be pretty.

If we keep playing like we did on Saturday, most teams are going to be our bogey team this season, nevermind Exeter.
You v us was the live game during last season’s international break. Is Vince bumming someone at Sky?

As a bit of interest I’ve had a fiver on FGR 3 Exeter 2 @ 33/1

No £27 to sit in that wooden shack is ridiculous

Betting on us to do anything good is always a very bad idea.

Forest Green are horrendous! Think them and Morecambe are certain to drop to League Two come the end of the season. No idea on the other two who’ll join them, too close to call.

Well, this is a painful watch.
I was thinking, well FGR must be propping up the arse end of the table by now. Ah. You’ve got 3 points less than us. Not that we’re doing well, mind, but we’re in the mediocre dross mini-league right now. Could have a nice tilt at the mid-table title this season if we play our cards right (or just very, very averagely).

Exeter looked in full control, almost too easy for them. FGR seem to struggle to make anything stick up top and defensively are really poor also. Doesn't make for a promising combination I hate to say.

Not a huge lover of this camera angle either.

Well, got to be happy with that. I hope we keep the intensity up, and really want Stansfield to get his first goal. No more injuries would be a nice bonus as well.

Another team trying to play out from the back and being caught out .

Will managers learn they cannot play like Man City each week ..

FGR quite lucky it wasn’t 4-0 not long ago. If looking to survive you’ve got to at least show you’ve got a bit of fight or willingness to dig in and they haven’t really done that today at least. Think their manager had the same issues with his teams at Notts.

It’s so pointless for most teams at this level, who haven’t got the players to pull it off. Not referring to FGR specifically as I haven’t seen them to be able to judge, but I’ve seen several lower league sides try it and make a right fucking hash of it, and you just think, why? What are you possibly hoping to gain by this?

Unchanged from last weekend, little surprised at that as it’s a fairly attacking set up which is a gamble away at somewhere like Peterborough. Worried we will be too open.

Morecambe don’t do relegations, it’s one of the few certainties in football.

Very meek from FGR, they looked nothing like the side who had a bit of a go at our place a month or so back. Bit of a training session really didn't but when you gift the opposition the first two goals like that, Exeter don't really have to take the game to them.

Was anyone actually there? You could hear the players kicking and heading the ball never mind only them talking!

Tricky one for FGR, despite winning the league they came up in the worst form of the four of us promoted sides with mid table form for a few months.

Add in losing their manager and their stellar full backs amongst a couple of others and the injury to Stephens and it’s been a difficult ask so far.

Has Vince stopped investing as much as they don’t seem to have been that active in replacing the ones who left?

I hope they stay up (as long as we do!) they’ve worked hard to get to this level for the first time and does seem a decent club but they look in a bit of trouble.

Looked a big soggy mess with no evidence of a plan or any sense of being a team. We played above ourselves last season for a long run mostly because Edwards could get that extra 10% out of players, no sign of that from Burchnall which bodes pretty ill.
