We're at the stage of the season where the games come thick and fast and Scunthorpe away looks a daunting prospect following a mini-blip of two defeats from three.

MK were held to a draw by Scunny a couple of weeks ago and their form since Mark Robins took over suggests that a late play-off charge isn't totally out of the question, so I'm sure they'll be well up for this one.

Usually happy with a point away from home but really think we'll need to win here to a) keep up with City and b) stay ahead of MK and Preston.

2 defeats away from home recently despite playing well gives me confidence but we need to come away with at least a draw on Saturday.

It's another tough game which I think will end 1-1

1-3. Smithy to get back on track with a double and Willo to net the other.

Another tough game which would be fairly concerning to lose at it'd be 3 defeats in 4 and a third away loss in the space of 2 weeks.

I don't think they will win with ease. They played well against us and drew with MK. Sounded unlucky not to win at Coventry too. They may win narrowly but hoping a draw.

This game will just go the same as the majority of our games.

We will play lovely football up until we reach their box and then just collapse, Swindon will then go up the other end and score.

2-0 Swindon.

I wonder if Lee Power will disregard Mark Cooper and pick the team again?

If so, going to go for 2-1 Sunny.

Wasn't sure if it was common knowledge or not with your lot, but LP picked your team for the last match.

He wasn't happy with Mark Cooper for only picking one up front the previous game.

Got a mate who is a good "sauce" at your club, init :)

Source or not, it's just a rumour... Pointless bringing it up, as now there's inevitably going to be another slagging match.

First I've heard of this and it definitely hasn't been mentioned on the Town End Forum. Sounds like complete nonsense to be honest.

Not trying to cause an argument or bitch fest, but it's 100% true and I wouldn't make up something so random. LP is a bit domineering over MC. My mate did say that MC might walk as he's not happy with the ways of LP. But that would be rather drastic and unlikely. My STFC 'mole' is part of your matchday dressing room ;)

Inside eyes in the dressing room bud. Not BS.

But if you don't want me to continue posting any REAL inside stuff about STFC, then it's fine and I won't. No dramas. :)

Forums do tend to dislike any blunt realities with true footballing occurrences.

A recent quote which kid of ties in (from MC):
"In the midfield we've probably got five or six players, that have to fit into three or four. That's probably my biggest issue at the moment.
The strikers will know they're not in tip-top form, but we'll just try and reassure them and help them."

EDIT: soz it didn't make sense at first.

I know you weren't and I wasn't either. Was genuinely the first I'd heard of such a rumour.

Still not convinced by it. Not sure that quote backs up the rumour either.

Fair enough. I get quite a bit of news to do with your club and ex-associates (players and staff). A lot of stuff goes on in the game that would be dismissed as bull as things are quite shocking or beyond belief.

The quote loosely connects, but wouldn't be made out to disregard LP.

However, we'll see if (pending player availability) you play with 1 up front again this season. I'll be surprised if you do.

If we don't play one up front again this season, I don't think it will be because Power demanded it. Like yourselves, we use the 3-5-2 system and have done since midway through last season. I think Luongo and Kasim's return, the form of Swift and the relatively barren spell of our strikeforce meant that Cooper felt he had to change it up a bit for Barnsley, particularly as we have struggled when teams sit back and play defensively at the County Ground. I wasn't at the game but it sounded like it didn't really work as we created a number of chances that may have been put away had another striker been on the pitch, which is probably why we went back to two up top for the trip to Oldham.

I just don't buy it. I'm not saying this is the case but it just sounds like one of those things made up by opposition fans.

How many posts do we get on forums that involve 'my mate'.

If it involves a club that isn't yours it is accepted as the 'truth', if it involves your own club it's total bollocks.

Oh, BTW, Cotterill is a hermaphrodite. My mate has seen him in the showers.

Hey guys.

This match is between Scunthorpe and Swindon, not Bristol City and Swindon.

Cheers.
Get used to it they swarm all over our threads on every match , with regards to MC and LP it is absolute bullsheet I know Lee through a friend and have a friend who is involved on match days just asked both of them and it is as expected a City wind up. They should be looking closer to home I hear Flinty has been a naughty boy :fish:

Not a wind up, but it certainly is winding people up. Take it as bull if you like.

As mentioned, not trying to start a slanging match and didn't know if your lot knew anything or heard anything on the matter.

Sorry if I've rattled your cage.

Here's my opinion - it's probably 99.99999% likely to be bollocks.

Can we get back to the football please?

To be fair, Lee Power has been about best chairmn for as long as I can remember. He has pretty much been our chief scout and the vast majority of the players we've signed have been because Power wants them and as such, he has created a rather good squad.

In regards to the coaching and tactical management of the players, most of the credit goes to our assistant Luke Williams, he's always mentioned by the players over Coops. I'd imagine that if Coops walked at any point, as mentioned by Scrumpy, Williams would get the job most likely.

Scunny could cause a little upset here.
