We've sold 3900 as of the 2nd August. Up on last year I think but not sure by how much.
From what other people are saying on here, Wimbledon and Portsmouth really need new stadiums. If you're having to try and restrict selling season tickets so people can buy on the day then your support is bigger than your stadium, which is good. Am I right in thinking that Wimbledon's new stadium will be around 10k and, should Portsmouth ever get a new stadium, there's would be around 30k?
I think our plan is to try to push up to maybe 24k at our current location? I stand to be corrected by somebody more in the know. To get to 30k would mean a new stadium which is a definite possibility with the new owners.
According to this article we've sold 19,500, around 3,000 after the early bird price.
We are under no illusion that we've only sold that many due to price, but still a great achievement imo. When we started these prices in 2015 we probably only sold around 16,000 with 2,000 flexi cards, but flexi cards are more or less redundant now so I imagine there are hardly who have one now. Hopefully we can soon get promoted to keep/further increase interest, great news for future generations as there are many young fans around the ground these days.
It also means we'll probably average 20,000 this season.
