Our team there is sickening. A year on from that was when we came down here. Yes, we've been here that long.

We really ought to have gone down around that time, had some dreadful teams. The one that did get relegated was in a different world on paper.

To be fair, the centre half partnership of Mike Edwards and Stephen Hunt was pretty good, both mainstays in the team that won the league three years later. Myles Weston was a useful young loanee as well. I can’t even remember James Walker who apparently set up the goal.
At least neither of you have suffered the embarrassment of all embarrassments by being relegated down into this shit hole twice.

You telling me this is the lowest level you've been relegated to? Pffft

Hunt ended up having to retire off the back of an ankle injury he picked up on loan here I think.

He was solid at LB for us.

'You were lucky to have a club!'

I'll be honest with you, when we were losing to Cowlyn Bay, Vauxhall Motors et al, in part-time regional football, I was regularly thinking it would have been better to be one of those phoenix clubs and win a few back-to-back promotions rather than continuing to rot away. Sounds horrible to say now, but part of me still shares the sentiment

As fans, we both deserve a good season of football next season for sure.

Well I hope they have a great day out even if you lose.

One thing is for sure, the beers are a lot cheaper in Stockport!

Not bought mine yet but we will probably take about 150, trains are all booked via Doncaster. Anyone know which pubs are ok for away fans in Stockport?

Don't go to the Royal Albert. There's nothing wrong with it, I just don't want more people in the queue.

There's nowhere that's strictly home fans only, pretty much anywhere you find should welcome you

Well there's the Pineapple also known as P3 as that's the name of the pysch ward at the local hospital or the Jolly Crofter which used to be known locally as the mad house (some achievement that, as just about every pub in Edgeley could be given that title). Seriously though the Armoury would probably be your best bet, it's a fair bit more expensive than the rest of them but I doubt whether that will be a problem for you Saffners.

Brilliant mate that, bet you're dead chuffed
The way the town has supported the club has been awesome. Even tonight 2000 tickets have been sold, never heard of when we were in the EFL unless there was a decent away following. Even more pleasing is they are all macc fans, away teams dont bring any fans.

Just got to do the business on thr pitch and get back k up as quickly as possible!

3,100 which is better than i thought we would do this year. Especially since the club set a 3k target. Everything now is a bonus going into Ron's next Bentley fund.

Last update on our forum was just over 3,000 which was 2 weeks ago. Not sure how many have been sold since as they’re at full whack now £

I hadn't seen that - pleased to hear we've passed the 3000 mark. I'm sure the club said this seasons budget would be set on an average of 3500 attendances? If thats true, then we will definitely be beating that every week (which you'd expect anyway, I think they were being very conservative).

Not having a pop but are the wages of the likes of Rowe, Tshimanga, Payne, Oyeleke, Khan, Clarke, Miller, King, Asante and Loach seriously going to be based on an average expected attendance of 3,500?

We've shifted 7 or 800 with the new ground factor. Double what we typically sell for division 6 north campaigns
Be interesting to see how many of the 1750 home fans bother for the curzon Ashton game after the shite we served up last week (and likely defeat at fylde)

Never had any issues in the Armoury. Also half way between the station and the ground so breaks up the 5 minute walk nicely!

If we've shifted 3000 STs at average price of say £250 then that's a decent chunk of our wagebill covered before POTD and the hospitality which is open every day pretty much and is our most profitable area of the business so to speak.

Our wage bill will definitely be higher now than those initial forecasts, I'd heard we'd cut last seasons £1.3m by 20% but no way have we done that now in my opinion with the Tshimanga signing.
