2250 sold according to the latest tweet at our end.

What this doesn't factor in is the presence in East Asia. Still got the bruises and scratch marks from where I wore my County top in Tokyo. The locals went nuts.
Surprisingly enough I got a similar reception when I wore my GTFC top in Whitby, we must have a lot of exiles living there I guess.

I once nearly had a similar experience in Halifax. Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit. They spat at me. Yeah. :dk:

So ours go on sale on Monday, but only 2 sides of the ground will be utilised for the Yeovil and Notts County games while the stand behind the goal finishes up its renovations.

Ticketmaster are being used to sell them, so that'll double the cost.

I can remember having to buy our tickets for a game at Wrexham from an Irish company and picking them up on the way to the ground, never could figure out how that helped your cause money wise.

Why not just do them in-house? I get that it’s more time-consuming and more of a faff but that seems a lot of unnecessary costs.

Possibly we don't have the staff to deal with expected demand. And that's not me willy waving, just that until recently our club was run like a village jumble sale

The club shop expect to be selling between 5000 and 7000 ( we already had 2200 pre R and R) but the demand will just overwhelm the 5 staff that work there. In addition do you really want to be cueing in these covid times?

Fair enough, didn’t realise the demand was that much extra. Will make the money back no bother and probably be a more professional standard. I completely understand the village jumble sale element, pretty sure we still had our season ticket holders details written by hand before the new guys came in!

I think they are expecting people to still be all giddy about the takeover, particularly after the shirt sales numbers and the fact that 18k signed up for what is effectively a mailing list. There is also quite a short window to sell them in too so we need people who know what they are doing!

Its incredible isn't it? you expect these clubs to live in the real.world.and use modern efficiencies etc but once someone with some real world experience comes in and shakes stuff up you realise these clubs are all stuck in the 1970s. Probably part of the reason we are all down here.

Would be extremely impressive to get beyond 4K and I hope you achieve it, sets a good base for success next year, if not this. It’s amazing how quickly the attitudes at a club can turnaround when you have competent people who are actually hired to do a job working in and around the club. For too long the reign of Fenty has seen us working on as tight a budget as possible and we’ve been living in the 90s for 30 years. Hopefully we’ll start to see some evolution over the next 2 years.

I'm always shocked by how much fluctuation in crowds you can get beyond your 'hardcore' (which is about 3k.for us). When Lincoln were down here regularly finishing in the bottom half they were getting 2 and a half thousand, then after their promotion year they were getting 3 or 4 times that. We need to milk some of that bandwagon money while we can.

As long as your new fans arrive before you reach the FA cup quarter finals then it’s all good! Was pretty painful the number of ‘lifelong’ fans they had suddenly appearing.

Crowds is where our owners will eventually give up when they realise our crowds won’t ever really increase, even in league one we struggled to get 2000 home fans for some matches. It’s just impossible with our location and a local population who are just not interested in lower league football. We had better crowds in the early 2000’s in the conference than we did when in league two. Everyone’s moved away from the area and who can blame them it’s a shithole. Our hardcore was 1500/1700 even 5 years ago is now a hardcore of about 1100, there’s just hardly any below 20’s that attend our matches.

Yep, similar situation at the Rec. In theory, a large catchment area, but other than Aldershot ,affluent, and little interest in low-level football. We will be lucky to break 1700, despite optimistic noises and unrealistic projections from the boardroom. Not helped by almost total silence, and seeming reliance on “triallists” for signings.

5-7k season tickets?! If that's true the that's and absolutely fantastic effort. And of course, we will be able to do the Lincoln routine all season.
