Even though the Roses have a lot of idiots for fans, I'm voting for them. Anything to rid us of The Beatles.

I still remember what my dad told me when I growing up - The Beatles are quite possibly the most over rated band of all time.

For those of us who like to think for ourselves and not just agree with Daddy, the Beatles are the only option.

I like the Stone Roses but surely it is a couple of leagues below the White Album?

Did you have to put these 2 against each other Paul. Possibly 2 of the best albums ever but I've got to go with The Beatles I think as if it wasn't for The Beatles there probably would never have been a Stone Roses or an Oasis etc etc.

Sorry Les, but I can never agree with you. I have always had a little problem understanding this if it wasn't for X then there would never have been a Y.
I see it like this - if it weren't for The Beatles, then it would have been The Monkees, The Byrds or The Beach Boys. If it weren't for The Sex Pistols then it would have been The Damned, The Clash or The Adverts. And so on......

Nah, it's nothing like that. I heard the Beatles, wasn't exactly impressed, and asked Dear Daddy what he thought. It happens to be one of only 3 or 4 things we actually agree on, when it comes to musical matters. He also told me to be careful when saying this, as I would be ridiculed, because everyone likes The Beatles, mostly because they are bombarded from all sections of the media on how great they were.
