Stags v Wycombe.

Can't see there being many goals, either 1-0 or 1-1. Can't remember the last time we kept 3 clean sheets in a row though.

Rovers only ended up in the conference because their strikers couldn't hit a barn door in the match that mattered most. The one against Mansfield.

Bar and post kept them out on the final day. I was following the last day on Sky with Jeff Stelling who mistakenly said Rovers had equalized, i nearly had a heart attack
As for saturday i'd say a 1-1 draw if we play 4-4-2 or 2-0 Mansfield if Ainsworth changes our formation again.

Mansfield only conceded 5 at home, Wycombe only 3 away. 0-0

Well after predicting we'd draw 0-0 with Portsmouth and that we'd get bloody Oldham in the cup (more out of sarcasm) hopefully a third prediction would be good - that of a 1-0 win.

Can't make Saturday which is a shame, would be a good match.

Hopeful that the crowds can keep up as well, another crowd of over 3,500 would be great

To be fair, it's actually Sent Rovers Down v Sent Rovers Down, since we relegated the Gas in 2001.

Not that that makes any difference to me personally, nothing against BRFC.

Anyway. We're a bit crap at the moment, hopefully Carlisle's favourite son Paul Hayes can find some form and galvanise the team a bit.

I'm looking forward to my my footy fix after missing the Portsmouth game.

I hope we don't give our opponents too much respect and sit off, rather than play our normal game plan and attack.

This will be two sides blanking each other out... O-0 of 1-1.

Good win last night Gassy.
Thanks, if only we could win at home, scrap that, get anything at home - we'd could fight for play offs. I'd be happy with a midtable finish though.

Interesting game this one here, expecting Mansfield to win 2-0

Great win that our first in 5 league games. Listened to it on player and seems our Keeper Matt Ingram was MOM. Hopefully that will give us some confidence back and we'll have a decent run.

Sounded like a professional footballing display by Wycombe well played.

Mansfield at home under Murray are hopeless and devoid of attacking ideas. He's won 7 of 22 home games under his stewardship. He's got lucky we've done well away, as at home we are pretty boring, very predictable and can't break down organised sides at all - sides can come to Mansfield and set up for a point knowing they'll get it as we've no threatening attacking player and we hope for the best.

Adams got a lot going for him and In general this season he's done well, but he needs to stop being so bloody cautious

Our away record is keeping us going, time to start being more imaginative adam

to be fair we're generally a lot better away, we're more set up to be a counter-attacking side. I'm not sure whether it was last season or the season before but I remember reading an article about how it was becoming far less common for sides at all league levels to have a "home fortress" as more and more sides were setting out their stall to be defensively solid but hit on the break away.

As are we, we've got 16 points away from 8 games and 10 at home from 8. The league is weird this season.

Neither side really caused much trouble and it was a poor game but Wycombe deserved that despite Mansfield having more of the play.

A very frustrating game. We're not firing on all cylinders at the moment, something isn't clicking at the moment to make it happen in the final third of the pitch.

Green being off form?.

Adams tactics are getting boring at home - he's obviously got it sussed away but to keep lumping it upto green when on his own so often isn't the option. Wycombe are a half decent side and we very rightfully should be wary of them, but why so negative? I understand there more attacking intent in the 2nd half but still...

Negative? According to BBC, 13 shots to 6 with 7 on target against 2. We were beaten by a good away performance by Wycombe but we were not negative Adam.

I didn't go, so fair enough. I just got told by quite a few mates our shots were from either distance or straight at their keeper but without really testing them?

The way i read it through twitter was that it wasn't our day in front of goal then got backhanded with a goal against the run of play and a header.

Green needs a reserve game where he gain some confidence and can bag a few. Those who believe that Green has been wank, I'd love to see where we would be without him in the team as he has been contributing to the team in numerous ways although not scoring. His constant pace and threat gives the oppositions manager a headache and forces them keep him contained. Green tracks back a lot and wears the shirt with pride... i didn't see that with Vadaine Oliver who looked like he couldn't be arsed most of the time.

Anyone who expected the fairytale to continue from 2013 with Green are deluded, yes he an absolute cracking signing for anyone at this level but he is only human at the end of the day and has just recovered from a intensive injury at Birmingham. Give him time and he will bag on a more consistent basis, just needs that gentle push and support to get him back to his best.

Onwards and upwards let's keep it play off push going!

I don't think it's just a case of Green being out of form in front of goal. Something is not right as whole team from an attacking prospective. I trust AM to get it right. It will come good soon. Don't get me wrong, it's been a massive improvement on last seasons performances and results. I certainly did'nt expect us to be the play-offs. We are moving in the right direction.

The reason you didn't score was Matt Ingram who had an outstandind match in goal, the save from the header just after half time was class!

That can't be the case mate because if so It means our fans can't have a meltdown about Matt Green not being good enough anymore. We are doing a lot better than we expected so they need something to start moaning about.

But to be fair that Collins header was the only time I thought "what a save" and we had plenty of chances, we just didn't have the quality to finish them. I think it's perfectly justified to be questioning Green's form, if anyone else would have missed the chances he had they wouldn't have had as much slack. I don't think anyone wants him to do badly or thinks he's useless, just that he maybe needs a spell on the bench for the benefit of everyone.

It's frustrating to watch us at home at the minute, the first half against Wycombe and Bristol were carbon copies. We have glaring opportunities and spurn them, away team puts deep cross and knocks it across box and it's 1-0 and they shut up shop. I have faith in Muzz to sort it, I think our brilliant start has worked against us as well, teams come to play us with a different mentality than they would normally.

Yes he's not in great goal scoring form but some of the comments you read about him are ridiculous. IMO his all round game has improved, My only gripe is how he constantly tries to win fouls that he's never going to get but every twat seems to be at that these days. Green isn't going to score goals when he's being played as a target man up too though. Hopefully he can get on the scoresheet Saturday and get some confidence. I still think he will get 15+ this season which was my prediction in July.
