It's a new season which means a brand new set of predictions for all of us to get horrendously wrong with the overall majority tipping little old Accrington to struggle as well tipping the massive club that is Luton Town to win the title last season.

The same rules apply from last season however if you are new to this forum game then the rules are as follows - You gain one point for each position you are wrong with the idea being to try and get the lowest points score possible. An example for this would be if I predict Grimsby to finish 12th and they end up in 14th it would mean I gain 2 points however if Grimsby finish 22nd then I would gain 8 points. Every position is then calculated in which you will end up with a total score.

With a fully functioning spreadsheet at my disposal the table of everyone's scores will be posted after every full set of games.

The current champions are cufc17 , HadleyBee and Richard Cranium who all tied on a score of 106.

The deadline for table submissions is the first game of the season which is August 6th at 3pm.

Once you have posted your table prediction it won't be accepted until I have liked your post so make sure you don't forget a team in your prediction or use the same team twice.Table edits are allowed as usual but you must notify me that you have changed your table and it must be before the deadline stated above.

I'll start the predictions off with my table.

I know most of you want Stevenage to go down, and I'm no exception, but they won't so change your predictions while you still can.

This helpful advise has been brought to you courtesy of Vanni (6th place finish last year and ONLY 4 POINTS OFF THE TOP!!!)

I know most fans will say this but I suspect some of you are vastly underestimating Cheltenham. We are targeting promotion this season and our team is pretty impressive, if we are not at the very least in the top half I would be genuinely shocked. For what it's worth this looks a tough league this time around so I think we may fall just short of top three and end somewhere in the play offs.

Honestly can't tell if you're joking or not. I hope you are.

If not, I'd advise taking a look at some of the other squads which are being put together at the moment. We've got a pretty good one and I'm still mostly expecting us not to make the top 3.

Last year, only a small group of people thought Cheltenham would just make the playoffs. They ended up storming the league with 101 points, 12 points ahead of second. I was very critical of them last year but as a team, they are ridiculously consistent and will surprise a lot of people this season.

They've kept the same squad (barring their keeper) and have Gary Johnson. Two huge factors there already.

I think with the money I've seen being spent so far this summer, with teams like Portsmouth and Orient who were no pushovers last season making some good signings, the teams coming up probably won't have as easy a time as Rovers did to go up last time.

Consistency can only take you so far over the course of a season, so unless they've signed a few genuinely top players for this league (which I don't see that they have) rather than just hard workers I think it'll be an especially tough task to hit the top 7 this time round.

Like I say, I've been impressed with our signings so far and we weren't all that far off the top 7 last season and I'm still expecting a tough time to even make the play-offs, so for a team coming up from non-league, even one who stormed the league, it'll take quite something to upset the teams like Portsmouth, Doncaster and Orient when going for the top spots.

Don't think anyone said top spots but playoffs is a real possiblility for them. They have Dan Holman, who scored the same as Amond last year and is arguably regarded as better and several top midfielders as well. Calling their team 'just hard workers' is very harsh on them.

The Loan system changes are going to be a factor, I suspect anyone who goes with a small high quality squad is likely to come unstuck, it's why I've put Wycombe so far down in my prediction. Expecting Cheltenham to be top half but I'd be surprised if they made it into the play-offs.

If that's the case - that team got beat by us when we were extra-extra shite. They should finish bottom, then.

It really is way too early to make a prediction. Its the first week in July for gods sake. Still plenty of time for some teams to do some pretty tidy business and improve their teams

But they hammered you and you got very lucky the Chelt's fans said on the non league forum at the time, so can't really base a prediction this year on the fact your extra extra shite team beat them.

I think some of you are underestimating Hartlepool. They've made some decent signings and should build on what Hignett did in the back end of last season. I don't think they'll make the playoffs but I can see them top half.

I'll take flying under the radar. There's no benefit to shouting about how great we are. We've lost a left-back from last season but gained a better one. Dillon should be coming back between the sticks and Cameron Burgess and Rob Dickie (should be playing in League One in my eyes) are also expected to return.

I'll put a table up closer to the season, but for now I see no reason we can't make the playoffs. This team, in my view, is just as good as, if not better, than our Playoff finalists of 2012, and they have much better leadership on the sideline in Gary Johnson when compared to Mr Dour himself, Mark Yates.

It makes a change, mind. In the last few seasons they've been predicted to do well, yet always seem to be near the bottom of the pile. I think they'll improve on last season's finish, but not by much.

It's not much of a surprise to see most people predicting relegation for Morecambe, they could be in trouble this year.

Certainly isn't looking good for Morecambe. I hope they stay up seeing as they've given us Miller and Devitt but at the very least they'll be in a relegation scrap I would think.

Yeah that's true like, they passed the ball pretty well. I only recall one good chance they had, which was in the 90th minute though. Plus, Kudus Oyenuga scored for us, and we had Ronnie Moore in charge..... You can't be very good to lose to that combination.

Now, having been away in the wilderness for too long, I must admit to not knowing that much about the qualites of the different teams in League 2 so lets try this and see how close I get.

I have just shoved the 24 teams into a random list generator and this is what it gave me back. I just don't fancy our final position being correct though as I wouldn't want to be invloved in another relegation struggle. Mid-table will do me next season.
