Further server upgrade to double our CPU and increase RAM was just completed. Let us know if the server does anything funky for you over the next 24 hours. Really hoping this will see us right for at least the next 6-12 months.

Welcome back to 1FF, thanks to the hard work of TractorBoys we have made our way to the 'other side'. Our new server is now online, ready to go and functional. We expect to run at full capacity by the time Saturday (the big day) arrives and although we have no 100% guarantees, this new server should keep the site moving smoothly and most importantly - quickly even during peak times!

Thanks for your patience in the last few weeks, the old server had reached it's peak and could no longer handle the weight of the database that 1FF runs on. When TB asked the previous server provider what they were used to, they replied with 'small local businesses'...that explains why we had been running at a snail's walk during the last 10 days or so.

Welcome back and enjoy!

Just managed to find my back now via a friend on Twitter as I dont use Facebook. A lot of people are still unaware. Who runs the One Football Twitter account @1_FootballForum? It still says the site is down.

The site URL itself will work shortly. If users could be kind enough to comment here when the site resolves for them on onefootballforum.co.uk - as opposed to using the temporary URL.

Those are being generated on the old server and categorically are NOT something we've introduced. We have effectivelty ceased all connection with Dreamhost (the old provider for our server) and within a few hours all users will be directed to the new, secure, upgraded setup. Nameservers unfortunately are just one of those frustrating things which cannot be expediated with human interferance.

Propagation not fully complete for you guys, it will follow suit. Just a waiting game.

I'm still occasionally getting some dodgy redirect on say one in every 10 requests, more investigation needed but will update when I know more as those ads are a security breach (albeit on the old server, but a breach nevertheless).

Can you try again on a different browser and let me know if the same www9 redirect occurs? I was getting that earlier at work and it seems like some nasty server-based redirect malware- I'm hopeful it's on the old server (and propogation was still swaying back and forth at the time).

I can only access the site through the temporary URL as the original URL is still trying to either offer me senior dating contacts, show me how to become a millionaire, or introduce me to a site with 25,000 Asian beauties!
