Always a feisty affair when the sell outs are in town. There's no love lost between the 2 clubs and it's a sell out (see what I did there?) as both City and Cardiff have sold all their available tickets.
Both sides are well up in the form table and this could be a very close game.
Will home advantage swing things Englands' way? I'm hopeful but not sure.

2-2 in a bruising encounter. Flint and Tomlin for us.

Hope we smash them.

Korey Smith to come back in for Bobby Reid if he's fit.

Glad it's not a bubble trip this time, but if they make our trip to their place a bubble next time I'll be fucking livid.

1-3 loss - Flint with our goal.

Well up for this one. Shame it's been moved so early but could be worse. ( a Thursday night) Nice to see Cardiff are actually taking more than 1 fan and their dog to this.

Love to thump em.

Hate to tell you this guys but we care a lot less about you than you do us! :bg:

As for the game, 2 sides in decent form which should make it 100x better than the shower of shit that was served up down here. May even be some efforts on goal this time! We seem to play better against the teams on form as well so I'm quietly confident. Do you lot still hate Johnson as well? If so it could be a battle between him & Slade for most hated manager in the Championship.
Also what a shit kick off time it is, if they're going to have it at 12 at least stick it on tv. I mean who the fuck wants to watch Burnley vs. Blackburn?!

2-1 Cardiff, 2 own goals to give us the 3 points.

Haha - I thought that was bullshit until I read your forum before you played us earlier in the season; half of them were saying they hated us more than they do Swansea.

Dai, we know the Swans are your no 1 rivals just as the gash are ours but this is one game that gets the blood pumping just as the games with Swindon did for us last season. It won't be pleasant on Saturday, you know that! There's an awful lot of history in Bristol v sheep dip games.
If anything, the demise of Tinnion park :) has lessened the ferocity of the Severnside games for me as that place was plain nasty but I loved it! Legoland just isn't the same and it never can be.
My biggest fear is that Baker has one of his 'red mist' moments, we'll be in trouble if that happens. Hopefully, he won't.

ENG-ER-LAND. ;)

Ha, it was a shit attempt at getting some bites, I always loved the games against you lot especially at Ninian Park. Was one of the few games where you could feel genuine hatred in the air and it was brilliant. They were always entertaining even if the result wasn't the best. Swansea definitely hate us more than we hate them, probably has something to do with Cardiff fans doing bucket collections for them before!

Moving from Ninian Park has killed any kind of ferocity there was at any Cardiff game, as I said above you could feel the hatred in the air and like you I loved it. Hell the only atmosphere that has come close to Ninian I've been apart of at the bowl was the Leicester play off game, though my mates that went during the Premiership season said the Man City game was also up there.
If there isn't at least one sending off I'll be disappointed, it needs to make up for that total shit show earlier on in the season. Hopefully Peltier or O'Keefe will join Baker in having a red mist moment. Anything to make the game even more lively!

Cardiff is one of the worst new stadiums around. I never went to Ninian but it's a shame to think how a proper football ground went for that.

This could have any outcome tbh, think we could just nick it with good recent form, hopefully Smith is fit enough to play, however other way could be a heavy defeat from a club chasing the play offs similar to Brighton.

Used to detest Cardiff with a passion back in the early 2000s when they were bankrolled by Sam Hamman and had some of the most awfully behaved fans around. Winning 3-1 and 2-0 at Ninian Park in back to back seasons is an awesome memory for me and losing to them in the playoffs was one of the worst.

Can't be arsed to hate them these days, partly because of their loss of identity and partly because they've just been way way better than us for the last decade or so and have destroyed us so many times.

You excluded mate.

We just haven't been at it, we look really lethargic - last to every second ball, losing out on every header... it's like men vs boys.

We need another option, Agard for Reid (who has offered just as little as Freeman as) at HT.

You could play with 11 corpses and you will still get an equaliser. We never hold on no matter how bad someone plays against us.

We've been poor, no fear of a goal here.

Like I said.

Not sure why we bother with home games, we don't break teams down and when we go behind it's a complete write-off. We'll get enough points on the road to stay up, at home I'm not so sure.

A recurring theme at AG recently that it's almost completely empty by 85 minutes which doesn't bode well.

No complaints from me, that was a lesson in clinical football. 2 chances, 2 goals!
We huffed and puffed a lot and had a very good penalty shout in the first half, don't know about the one in the 2nd half.
Fair play to Cardiff, they did enough and I felt they could have upped their game at times.
After last weeks debate about the great atmosphere the 'chosen 1000' make in the Atyeo, I actually made a point of listening today and they were totally blown away by the Cardiff support! Even us old 'uns in the South stand tried today as our 'vociferous, hoolie, noisy' fans were so poor!
Bad, bad day for BCFC, we were poor so it's a fair result IMHO. :(
One last thing, I tip my hat to the Bluebirds support that joined in with the minutes applause for our fallen fellow red. Good on you.

Oh. Just showing a bit of passion that is mate.
Or trying to antagonise the home fans - it worked!

Yeah, gained my respects for that - fair play to 'em.

In fairness the Cardiff fans weren't as noisy as they have been previously at AG.

They were alot noisier than our super fans JJH!
TBH, for a derby, the atmosphere was awful.

Not even bothered we lost. Bothered about the utterly wank, dead atmosphere though. Derbies nowadays are good for away fans only. Our home support is as bad as theirs. Pathetic.

Pretty confident in saying that Swindon at home last season is the last heated, intimidating atmosphere that Ashton Gate will ever have. If we played the gas at home now I think it would be humiliating. They'll go the same way if they get their new ground as well.
