By far the biggest game of the weekend in League. Probably the 2 teams with the biggest budgets, both going for promotion, potential for loads of goals.
Sheff U have been quite a strange team this year. Look like title contenders one week, relegation candidates the next. They can't seem to string together enough results to get into the play offs, yet have hovered just below them all season.
As for Wigan, they have really clicked in recent weeks, going unbeaten in their last 8. They have now risen to 4th and are within striking distance of the top 2.
I think this could be a cracker of a game, given the fact the 2 teams played out a 3-3 draw on Sky a few weeks back. Big statement of intent for whoever wins this game I think.
Form(last 6 games):
Sheff Utd: W2, D3, L1, F11, A9, Pts 9
Wigan: W3, D3, L0, F14, A8, Pts 12
Recent meetings:
Wigan Ath 3-3 Sheff Utd(L1, 12 Jan 2016)
