Shame this one has been moved to a bloody 12pm kick off on a Sunday. Makes it an absolute ball-ache to get to and will damage the overall crowd number.

Should be a good game for the cameras between, let's be honest, the two biggest clubs in the league.

Maddison and Joe Cole are likely to return to the squad which is great news for us, Lorentzson could make his first start.

Charles-Cook
Ricketts-Martin-Turner-Stokes
Vincelot-Fleck
O'Brien-Murphy-Kent
Armstrong

Bench - Burge, Cole, Maddison, Lamerias, Lorentzson, Phillips, Fortune.

Cov win and BTTS at 5/1. Our defence has been pretty poor in the last few games and Sheffield United have some good attacking players.

Sheffield United 2-3 Coventry City (Jim O'Brien, Armstrong and Turner).

18,316 with 1,289 visitors.

Doubt we'll take that many.

and Wigan are no way near bigger club than Cov or Sheff Utd or even Barnsley in terms of fanbase potential, stadium capacity, history etc. Albeit a good last 15 years

I do fear the end of Adkins here. Admittedly I obviously haven't been going to games but we have sounded dire at the back and Coventry have the ability to make us pay. And if we get put to the sword I think he may well be a gonner. Although last weekend sounded better. Plus we are without:

Baxter - I believe. He has been disciplined by the club and rumours sound like he is done with us
Adams - 3 game ban

So that is probably our main two creative players out. Just leaving Done and JCR is he is on form.

Sharp and Harris also went off injured.

Long
Brayford Edgar McEveley K.Wallace
JCR Reed Basham Coutts
Done Sammon

I am really clutching at straws with that midfield.

What's actually happened with Baxter?

I have no idea but going off the forums tere seems to be general agreement...

Vs Shrewbury he bollocked the team at half-time (great imo...some passion that is lacking). But Collins took offence and they both had some fisticuffs. Interestingly borh were subbed at ht. This also sparked off again before the bus to Banrnskey and Baxter didnt travel.

The main thing though seems to be that the team went to Dublin for a Christmas party and Baxter got in trouble. The rumour I've read is that Accy Stanley players were also in Dublin and Baxter got into a fight with some of their players.

All rumours but they seem fairly well accepted as fact on the forums.

Thing is he is by far our best player and needs to be in the team. Collins can fuck right off that was the only good thing clough did looking back. And in response to your earlier post i hope sharps injured forever hes garbage, 1 goal in his last 14 now yet still starts every game, pathetic.

As for the game on sunday well 12 oclock on a sunday is the worst kick off time you can get i expect nothing other than another shite showing in a silent bramall lane ending in a pretty easy 0-2 away win. I reckon il be back in the barrell before ht anyway.

Really you think Adkins job depends on this game ? He has not been impressive. Can't see other than a Cov win. Bye bye Nigel. The feeling among supporters is that the problem goes much deeper than a hapless manager

If they put us to the sword then yes, I can see it turning ugly. I understand theres a feeling its more than just NA but a thrashing right bow and I think he'll be gone. What would it be, 15points in 16 games?

I love Billy the Blades scoring record at your place..

It's marginally better than his at Hillsborough.

Oh for one of these on Sunday

Sheffield United have requested Coventry take the tickets off sale to allow for pay on the gate.

Thought you would of been touching 2k tbh. Wank time for football though

Few more than I thought if I am honest. Would have been well over a 2000 had it not been on Sky, on Sunday at a stupid time and just before Christmas.

Not a bad first half. Blades haven't really created much, and should definitely be down to 10.

Coventry have looked alright, their main threat is coming when they spread the ball to the flanks, and that foreign fella on the right ain't half taking a beating from some of the United back line.

Blades need more creativity, and need to start piling more numbers forward. They look so rigid in that 4-4-2, and every time they break there aren't really enough numbers in and around the area to make it pay.

Decent first half to watch, although not a huge amount of quality apparent on either side as of yet. The only real 'moment' was Armstrongs chance which came from an excellent through ball. I think the ref has done well so far, although I disagree with the commentator saying that Lameiras is being targeted - I just think his feet are too quick at times. Having said that, McEvely should definitely have been sent off.

Got potential to be a good second half this.

Why are the Sheffield United fans booing the ref?

Disgusting challenge by Mcevely and the ref bottled it in front of the home crowd on sky.
