I don't want to get into a slanging match about whether we go down too easy because I've seen it with my own eyes (Nathan Thompson probably the worst culprit), but a tweet from one of our media bods is below -

@SamMorshead_: Given he was given stick for going down softly by Sheff Utd fans, you should see bruising & cuts around Louis Thompson's left ankle. Nasty.

I think because of the way we play we are ripe for getting kicked a lot. Sometimes players make a meal out of it, all teams have players that do it.

You have a full squad that 'do it ' :)

So do you agree with their cheating then ?

Ho, ho, that's funny. I celebrated, the players celebrated. We all celebrate when an opponent gets sent off. Ronaldo was honest about it when he got Rooney sent off; Toffolo was honest when Stephens got your chap sent off. Anyone who says otherwise, is a hypocrite. Toffolo was just too green (something like his fifth ever professional game), to hide it.

Edit: Changed Stevens to Stephens. Thanks to TTOCS for pointing it out.

You City fans just can't stop bringing up your defeat at Swindon, almost as if you enjoy reliving it. Which seems strange considering you lost your unbeaten record, had a man sent off, and had to watch little Swindon celebrating our "cup final" win right in front of you. Weird.

But go right on, it's the gift that keeps on giving.

:fl: above you with two games in hand, yeh devastated.

I've never seen a City player show as much blatant poor sportmanship as Toffolo. He'll get an interesting reception at AG along with Stephens, who I assume you are referring to in your post.

Indeed, you've had time to get over it. It would be doubly weird if you were still devastated. And I don't seriously believe you won't get at least two points from your two games in hand, which puts you top. So good luck to you. But I doubt that will stop you all bringing this up again in April.

It wouldn't be football if he didn't get a hot reception! Looking forwards to it already.

he looked more genuinely injured when he scythed down Che Adams who was through on goal, only bad foul all game. How Higdon was meant to do that from standing up behind him I'm not sure.

All fun and games, should be a cracker. Booked a couple of days off work for it so can have a proper session along with the win hopefully!

A simple defensive mechanism against teams that try to foul us. It's quite understandable that teams try to disrupt our passing from the back. Some of them, like Chersterfield recently, do it with pressing and skill. Some of them do it with pushing, trips, tugs and kicks. It reflects badly on your team, not us.

cheating only reflects badly on the team doing it

Here's an idea .... Why don't swindon just try winning on ability, rather than seemingly targeting opposing players to get sent off ?

Not just City fans saying this..... Very easy as a club to get a bad reputation that will stick with them...

Jesus wept, get a grip.

Every game that we have won this season has been won on ability. There's a reason a number of opposition fans and managers have said that we are the best team they have seen.

Quite possibly the most deluded post I've ever seen on here and surprise surprise it comes from a City fan.

We are where we are based on our ability, the fact that you fail to see that is ridiculous. The bitterness at us beating you earlier this season is still persisting. Get a life.

All of our players get targeted and roughed up by opposition players in order to stop us playing. More often than not, the reason we are rolling on the floor is because a limited lower league journey man like higdon plows through our player. Admittedly some players have the tendency to milk the incident, but that is common with every team involved in football, not just Swindon town.
