Early kick off today at Hillsborough, we are absolutely desperate for 3 points and I'll take a 97th minute own goal for it to happen. Barnsley aren't a bad side but are very youthful with the looks of it, their main aim this season among their fans seems to be survive and kick on next season, if we still have any hope of getting top 6 this season this is one we need to win. I don't expect too many changes from last week as Carlos will stick with his favourites, Loovens suspended so Van Aken comes in.

Westwood

Hunt
Lees
Van Aken
Reach

Wallace
Lee
Butterfield
Bannan

Fletcher
Hooper

Subs- Wildsmith, Pudil, Palmer, Jones, Abdi, Matias, Joao

1-0 home win please.

Wouldn't disagree with any of that, other than the 1-0 home win bit obviously.

We've probably the youngest side in the division, as well as the most inexperienced at this level, but we're playing alright and have been a bit unlucky with some results. I say unlucky, I mean not taking chances when on top which some people will say has nothing to do with luck.

As our record at Hillsborough is hilarious I'd take a point and a solid performance (as long as it's not a point where we concede another last minute goal). I suppose a loss would keep Carlos in a job a bit longer so wouldn't be all bad...

Think I've got to be happy with a point considering what usually happens there, sounded an end to end game with some good chances for both sides and both teams hitting the woodwork. Nowt wrong with our disallowed goal (apparently) but then I'm not surprised...

I'll take that. Looks like we fielded our strongest team on paper.

Sounds like Wednesday dominated the 1st half and Barnsley were really poor.
However as the 2nd half wore on Wednesday sat back more holding on to the lead and Barnsley risked it more going forward.

According to the commentators they said Barnsley’s late goal should have counted, they didn’t know why it was disallowed.

However conclusion seems to be Wednesday should have killed the game off and been out of sight at half time. However Barnsley were better the second half and a draw was probably a fair result.

More or less spot on, a better appraisal than many who went could give.
Why oh why does Carlos insist on sitting back when we go in front, we look good going forward, but very suspect at the back so why not keep attacking.
Would like to see Barnsley's disallowed goal again and Hamills yellow card "tackle"
.Barnsley's goal was fantastic

The usual, go 1-0 up then sit back second half, invite pressure and concede the inevitable goal. To be fair we should have been out of sight at half time, Davies made some good saves from Tom Lees headers, Barnsley looked really poor first 45. Second half they were better after taking off Thiam who looked shit, wonder goal from Barnes to equalise. Dissapointing again, roll on May it's going to be a long boring season.
