Nottingham forest head into the international break at the top of the championship table after a hard fought 3 points at Hillsborough.
Henri Lansbury who returned to league action in place of Matty Fryatt as the manager reverted to a 5 man midfield, struck eight minutes before half-time to give Forest their third straight 1-0 win at Hillsborough.
In the second half the Owls rallied to try to get back into the game, with Stevie May going close three times and Darlow producing fine saves to deny Chris Maguire and Atdhe Nuhiu. But they could not make the breakthrough they deserved and succumbed to a first defeat of the season.
Stuart Pearce's men showed character and organisation to keep their undefeated start to the season intact, in a victory that will send a message to the rest of the championship.
The reds now turn their attention to their East Midland rivals Derby County who would love nothing more to end the run in Forest's own back yard.
