Two of the Championship's form teams meet at Hillsborough in the early-kick off to decide who goes top going into the 3pm kick-off's. Victory for the South Yorkshire side will take them to the top of the Sky Bet Championship for a limited time while three points for Nottingham Forest will keep them at the summit of the league until the next round of fixtures. The two sides go into the meeting unbeaten with only Charlton Athletic sharing this showing that Wednesday vs Forest is the big game this weekend in the Sky Bet Championship. Forest find themselves two points and five places ahead of Wednesday going into round five of fixtures. Clashes between the two clubs in recent seasons have been close affairs but the results have been dominated by Nottingham Forest who haven't lost in the previous seven games against Wednesday but never winning by more a single-goal in this period. Sheffield Wednesday boast a better overall head-to-head record with 36 wins in the fixture compared to Forest's 31.
Undoubtedly all Wednesday's weary eye's at Hillsborough will be on two former Owls with Michail Antonio and Matty Fryatt both likely to play a part in the game. Antonio who was part of the Sheffield Wednesday squad that gained promotion to the Championship a couple of seasons ago before moving on to Nottingham Forest has vowed to not celebrate if he scores in the game. Record signing Britt Assombalonga is also expecting a recall and will be looking to build on his impressive start.
Wednesday are still thin with Hutchinson, Lee and Lavery all still out. The Owls are boosted by the impressive performances from new signings Westwood and Lee while the likes of Nuhiu and May will be desperate to get more goals under their belt in what promises to be a tight encounter.
Forest are likely to field a similar side to the one that beat Reading 4-0 at home last week with a simple 4-4-2 including the likes of Fox, Cohen, Reid and Mancienne.
Wednesday are also likely to field their familiar 4-4-1-1 formation with May playing off target man Nuhiu. Maguire and Maghoma occupying the wide areas with Semedo and Coke getting the nod to occupy the middle of the park.
Sheffield Wednesday vs Nottingham Forest is bound to be a tense but entertaining affair at Hillsborough. I think both sides will come out with their unbeaten records in tact. Score Prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 1-1 Nottingham Forest.
