Shoutbox Upgrade Inbound

Afternoon,

Just a quick heads up to anyone that uses our shoutbox. We are purchasing a paid upgrade later this afternoon to give us a better box. I'll link the download in below us but basically, the shoutbox will dissapear for a short period of time and come back with the following;

- Ability to ignore users
- Ability to ignore users posting in the shoutbox
- Thread updates (not sure if people would want this or not)
- The ability to BAN people from the box
- Smilies at the touch of a button instead of manually coding them in.
- The ability to change the colour of the font you want to use.

It shouldn't take more than a small period of time to add and make live to the site, but if the shoutbox dissapears for a short period of time, it's not that we have removed it or banned it (god forbid).

Yes this is the biggest plus point for me. I can never remember the code for the smileys so I don't bother using them.

Eg. LGQ at 10:15pm, tonight in the Box.

Shoutbox has been upgraded but I MUST STRESS that I haven't customised anything NOR enabled the 'Hide shoutbox' code as yet. These will follow suit later this evening so just bear with us. Ty ty.

Hide feature is being reintroduced in a moment.

Hide feature should now be working once more. Simply navigate to your preference, click the checkbox and hit save if you don't want to view the box on the forums index.

Not possible as it stands, I'll see if I can adapt the code in the coming days.

It never appears in the box though, just removes from the posting bit when I hit send and never appears in the bkx

It's the server dropping out, you've probably noticed the site sluggish and posts delaying etc. We're switching servers imminently to hopefully resolve this.

They aren't notifications, they are the amount of users that are currently inside the shoutbox.

At present, it cannot be disabled. It's on the list for me to look at in the near future.
