A midweek clash of 2 teams heading in opposite directions at the moment.

Shrewsbury have really picked up of late, winning 3 of their last 5 and going unbeaten in that stretch. They are now 5 points clear of the relegation zone, but need to keep winning to avoid getting dragged back into the mix.

As for Coventry, they have won 3 of 16 games. 3! Thats relegation form. They have only won 1 of their last 7 away games. However, of their last 13 away games(in which they've won 3), they have beaten Crewe, Fleetwood and Colchester. So maybe a game against a bottom 8 team can help them find some success? Either way, their season is fast turning into a nightmare.

Reckon this one will be a draw. Not sure why, but I can Coventry coming and grinding out a point.

Form:
Shrewsbury: LDWDWW
Coventry: LDWLLL

Recent meetings:
18 Sep 2012 Shrewsbury Town 4-1 Coventry City League One
01 Jan 2013 Coventry City 0-1 Shrewsbury Town League One
31 Aug 2013 Shrewsbury Town 1-1 Coventry City League One
02 Mar 2014 Coventry City 0-0 Shrewsbury Town League One
03 Oct 2015 Coventry City 3-0 Shrewsbury Town League One

We could do with at least a point here to keep our little run going. Apart from the away game earlier in the season we've done ok against Coventry in our recent meetings.

Early goal puts us back in the playoffs.
Can't see us not conceding tonight so we need another goal

The Mowbray out gang will be growing at a rapid pace.

Turning into an absolute laughing stock. How the fuck can we go on a run this bad with the team we have.

Can we end the season now? Ours is well and truly over. It's only gonna get messier from here on out.

Massive win that for us tonight. Just 3 wins and a draw from remaining 11 should see us safe now!

Come on now.

He's been poor recently but that's just an obscene statement.

At right back he has been poor. He was at fault for two goals at Southend for example. Sheffield United was another one of his shockers.

The first couple of months he was very good, but at right back, in this team, he has been poor.

What on earth is going on at Coventry? i made a post on the Vale v Cov thread a month ago that based on that game you be lucky make play-offs, talk about self destruct.

As for Shrews i know we don,t like each other but i,m glad it looks like will be staying up after recent revival.

The Sky Blues are only allowed one win against Town every 50 years. :P1:

Town are picking up points at the right time and, with a very tricky looking run in, need to continue to do so against Scunthorpe and Bury in the next two games. We're a long way from out of the woods yet!
