So, after a disastrous result at the weekend in our 'biggest game of the season', this could go one of two ways. We'll either pick up a couple of decent results over the weekend and be right back in the mix or we'll lose both and then probably win about 1 from the remaining games. The latter seems familiar.

When we played Shrewsbury at home they were truly awful. We played average and still had a fairly comfortable win. However, they have since improved their form dramatically and are always pretty decent at home. They're pretty much safe barring a disastrous run, so haven't really got anything to play for, but they will still want to get one over on us.

I'd get Innis straight back in and also AJ if fit. Aj and Dodds have looked the best bet really. The goals we conceded at the weekend were so sloppy and we were caught napping time and again- we need to be switched on straight away.

We'll take about 1500 or so, which isn't bad. We'd have taken at least 1800 if the result would have been better on Saturday.

I think we'll probably lose in uninspiring fashion and then the season will go out like a damp squib. We've been here before too many times to think otherwise.

Looking forward to it. I'd be surprised if you sold 1500 as you don't usually sell that many at our place, normally hovering around the 1100-1300 mark. You've sold about 1000 according to our ticket office and I think we're frustratingly not opening the whole away end again which is a shame. Still good numbers mind you.

We have a defensive crisis with Whitbred not fully fit, Grandison very iffy and Smith away with the Wales under 21 squad. We've signed a young lad from Wigan to fill in and he may start Friday. I'll be delighted if we keep the unbeaten streak going, especially as we only have 1 game this weekend as opposed to most others around us who have 2.

Shrews to win. Vale's away form has been iffy all season, and being twomped by Burton won't help their confidence.

Until three games ago our home form was atrocious, I think only Oldham had a (very marginally) worse home record, we managed to rack up ten home defeats before the end of February. Thankfully the last three home games have seen an upturn with seven points from nine.

We are a long way from safe so still have a lot to play for. We're still seven points shy of the 52 points usually seen as needed for safety in League 1.

After Friday we have Wigan (H) and Millwall (a) so the wrong result in this game could easily see us dragged back into the relegation scrap in three games time.

The sooner we get a couple more wins on the board the better and a win on Friday will go a long way to settle some nerves.

Anything less than a huge reaction from the weekend will be disappointing performance wise and to be fair we've tended to bounce back after shocker.

Knowing us we will win this setting is huge excitement for the Barnsley game before putting in a shitter on Monday.

Inniss will surely start which would be a massive boost!

Will this get all nawty?

Not anymore. In the League Two games it was nuts and provided a decent rivalry (with Stoke not being around anymore) but it's died off since then, both sides less pleasant elements clashed etc but the early kick off at their place a couple of seasons back was a drab affair on the pitch and pointlessly moved and can't recall anything of note in the reverse fixture occurring. Used to create a volatile but good atmosphere noise wise in fairness even if I did feel like I was walking a mine field before and after the game!

The volatile atmosphere and trouble all stemmed because we invaded their pitch when we first played them for a while down in League Two. Then, in reaction to that they seemed to bring some 'lads' with them and so did we. It seemed as if a decent rivalry was brewing and the game was another one to look forward to.

This happened for a couple of seasons in League Two. Then after that, the games have been just like playing any other team, none of Shrewsbury's 'lad' element have attended. Though, as its bank holiday, our idiots are bound to be there.

To be fair our fans didn't enter the pitch to cause trouble just passion after being relegated and then having a horrific start to life in League 2.

Annual 4 point haul against Shrews complete but sounds like two dropped. Probably left ourselves too much to do now

Should of won, we were the better team. Got to grab that second goal when we we're on top. Awful mistake by Alnwick, Shrews missed a sitter on the line though, so the goal probably evened that up.

Will take a point. Vale certainly had a lot more of the ball but Shrewsbury missed 2 very good chances. How Whalley missed after trying to dribble past 2 people on the line I'll never know, just smash the thing in the net! And Akpro should have done much better when one on one with Alnwick. Saying that I'm not sure what Alnwick was trying to do with the goal, must have been thinking too much about where he wanted to push it out and just missed it. Another goal for Kaikai tho, unbelievable how good/important he's been for us this season.

Big blow losing Knight Percival for 3 games tho. No complaints about the red card, could see the shove from the other end of the ground. Just wonder what caused him to react like that. Had the ref given a foul or something beforehand, as otherwise it should have been a penalty to Vale? Or did the ref just bottle it and give us the free kick to save the grief?

The ref had given a foul against your player so it wouldn't be a penalty.

Strange old game, Vale seemed to have more of the play but we missed 2 brilliant chances and could have easily won it as I felt we ended the game strongly. No complaints about the red card, NKP just lost it. Big loss as we've only got Grandison and Smith for the Wigan game now.

Seen the highlights, Jesus Alnwick should save that with ease and catch it. Seems to go through him. Looks like our lack of scorers cost us with some of the chances although got away with one on the line, great block mind by Purkiss.

Two Shrewsbury players should have gone over the Duffy thing. Duffy was pushed into the Shrewsbury keeper by a Shrewsbury player and Percival ran over and pushed Duffy in the face. After Duffy went over in the net another Shrewsbury play went across and pushed Duffy in the face with his hands while Duffy was on the floor in the net.

Looks a penalty, seems to be shoved into the keeper in the first instance.

No they didn't. NKP went in and pushed him around his throat, maybe slightly below. JLAA then runs in and does a mock push on him to signal where in his opinion NKP pushed him. If you watch the highlights you'll see JLAA definitely didn't push him in the face.

On the subject of red cards, I thought Grimmer could have been in trouble for his lunge in the first half when he took a bad touch and tried to compensate. Fair play to your player for not rolling about like he had been shot.

Ok he pushed him in the throat but your number 26 push Duffy in the head 3 times before he was pushed away by another player. Ugly scenes.

That is not his head mate. I've watched it a couple of times, there's 2 pushes to his chest.

If your guy had flattened the keeper and you scored that would have brought back some interesting memories ;-) !

They love to spend time here brushing up their etiquette at the Boslem finishing school. At times you can hardly get in the Saggar Makers for the Jemimas and co. supping on their Pimms, discussing the finer points of dressage.

I thought that all went on in Fegg Hayes.
