Most definitely. Scoring 2 international goals more than Gary Lineker in an additional 27 games whilst scoring an awe inspiring 2 goals in the last four Euro and World cup finals fully deserves recognition. His efforts for Help The Aged also deserve credit.

Like bollocks should he, I could score a decent amount popped up front against the likes of Andorra and San Marino (5 of his goals have come Vs the mighty San Marino). He can have a knighthood if he wins us the Euros/World Cup (extremely unlikely, though Europe looks quite weak at the moment tbh, but tournament time is a different animal).

Well he tried to make out Rooney only scores against shit teams and most of them are penalties. We carried out some research and found Shearer actually scored most of his goals against lower half teams in Prem and 67 of his goals were penalties.

Basically he was made to look a muppet on the internet.

I see Rooney is in the papers talking about using this game to end his league goal drought. Best hope they get a penalty then, it appears to be the only way he can find the net these days.
