Decent, what do you pay overall? We have Sky but I'm temped to get ESPN/BT Sport to get coverage of the european football leagues in full. The amount of games from Germany, France and Italy that SS don't have but the others do is unbelievable.

Pay £77.50 for the following

Sky TV (HD & Family Pack)
Extra Box
Sky Sports
Unlimited Phone
Unlimited Fibre Broadband

I would not recommend BT Sport as it's far inferior to Sky in my honest opinion

I've just cancelled my TV contract as I'm giving Now TV a try, they didn't offer me anything but got fibre unlimited off them for £10 pm.

Marham in Norfolk has finally come out of the dark ages, and I got fibre optic enabled on Monday, once I do I plan to cancel Sky TV and just use Now TV whenever I feel like it, along with Netflix and Amazon Prime and my hard drive full of film and TV.

Should save me at least £30-£50 a month depending on how often I pay for Now TV.

Been using Now for the last month and quite impressed, I only want Fox, Atlantic and S1 so for £6.99 a month I'm saving loads.

I need to do this myself, its getting extortionate even without the movie channels which we cancelled a couple of years back.

BT Sport is terrible, especially when they have that 'BT Box' over the screen when showing replays such as penalty claims etc, can't see anything! Sad to see Champions League leave Sky as they do such a good job with it!

Finally had enough of Sky after over 10 years. Crappy TV signal which would cut out most channels with the slightest bit of wind, and when my internet was going the same way I bit the bullet and cancelled.

Called up Virgin to see what they could offer and the guy gave me a great deal.

152MB broadband
Full TV package with Sky Sports, BT and Sky Movie Channels
Phone line with free evening and weekend calls (which no one in the house will ever use)
3 500GB TiVo boxes

All for just under £85 a month, which is over £30 less than what we were paying for the inferior Sky package.

Roll on Wednesday!

Bt Sport is not the best, but its great value for what you get (£15 a month or free with BT Broadband) and there are lots of european games and american sports on ESPN. Sky is so fucking expensive

I binned off Virgin three months ago, they were just too expensive. When I signed up two years ago they were cheaper than Sky, but in the next two years I had 12, yes 12, tariff rises, finally by the time I cancelled I was paying £135 for the full package. When I called them and told them I was switching back to Sky (full package, 12 month contract, £72 a month), they said sorry best they could do was £100 a month. The day before Sky was installed they offered to match the Sky price but on a 2 year contract. I told them to do one.

Is that half price for 6 months?

Just curious as I get done over by Virgin at the moment. Pay around £80 a month and I don't get sports or movies. We only have 1 TiVo box and then a standard box in the bedroom that doesn't really get used so we are getting rid of that.

I'm not in a contract with them at the moment so I think I have a good stance to barter for a better deal with them. I doubt I'd leave as their internet is decent and I've never had an issue with that or the TV. I also like having Netflix and YouTube on there.

The only thing I don't find great is how fast the operating system is. Sometimes takes ages to process what I've pressed on the remote. This has got a lot better though since they upgraded the system a couple of weeks ago.

It's an 18 month contract with that price for the 12 months.

I was only interested in Sky Sports, but the guy threw in BT and the movies, upped my internet from 100 to 152 and said it would work out cheaper. I wasn't complaining!

Think I might have got the deal as I wanted the two extra TiVo boxes, which we have to make a one off payment for.

85 a month that's 1000 a year. Imagine if the tv licence was that much . The era of pay tv will come to an end within 5 years . Football fans are thier own worst enemy , you show an appetite to pay , they take your money , buy all the rights with it and make you pay more, now you have no choice
