Point proven.

Im just stating the obvious and by the way just so you know, you were really just a side darby for us.

Barrow came back, so you can find someone else to obsess over.

They can obsess over Harrogate now.... it's closer to Hartlepool than Carlisle is.

Obsessed with Barrow now are ya? Cute that. Another twist in Carlisles history-long MISSION to find a real Derby.

Nah we'll hold out for Sunderland and obsess over that with them giving zero fucks about us.

Carlisle isn't our real Derby match - Morecambe is - but they went and got promoted to get away from us.....
Carlisle is our make do Derby match.

Carlisle just wish they were as big a rival to us as Wrexham are.

Our biggest rivals should have been here this season but are currently kicking around in the Conference North hoping that they can tear a couple of hundred of their elderly fans away from GB News on a Saturday afternoon. Wonder if the 2022 banners have been removed or someone's been over them with some Tipp-Ex?

Where is your local game next season mileage wise? harrogate?

ours is port vale which is about 40/50 miles away, which is probably the largest distance we’ve ever had to travel for our local game.

depends how you measure distance - by road it's Carlisle, but as the crow flies it might even be Tranmere (or Carlisle or Rochdale) - but 6 other teams are nearer to Barrow than Harrogate is.

It's still Carlisle (86 miles), and Bradford is 89 miles. That's the sort of distance we've been used to for our local 'derby'.

They can have us if they like. We’re bereft of rivals now that the Mudrats are off to be shrimps in the NL rock pool and anyone else we remotely give a toss about (Hamsters, Brentford, Brighton) all three divisions above us.

Oh wonderful, one shithole town goes down and gets replaced by an even worse one.

Nah not having that, I’ve been to Southend and it’s quite nice.

There's a big difference in the standard of refs. They're still shit, but nowhere near as bad as non-league.
In the main yes, but our ref at Salford in April was worse than anything I’ve ever witnessed in non league.

Is Hartlepool as much a depressing Soviet satellite state shithole as Grimsby? I hope not. I used google streetview to check out where to park for a Grimsby match once, it reminded me of world war 1.
Says the guy from fucking Burslem.

To be fair if he really is the disembodied appendage of the expired clip show host, then he’s actually from the exclusive Farnborough Park gated community in Locksbottom.

Our closest match is now 81.5 miles thanks to Brizzle Rovers. Last season it was Cheltenham at 114.9 miles. Although Google does say Barrow's ground to Carlisle's ground is 69.9 miles

According to AA routeplanner:
Exeter to FGR is 106 miles.

Ah, so it is - For some reason, I thought you were further north than Cheltenham which is weird as I've been to both grounds numerous times. It's probably cause I usually get the train and Cheltenham is a doddle, whereas it's a car journey to FGR through animal infested country lanes.

I have nothing against any club in this division and hope you all do as well as you are capable, except when you play us and then i hope you are crap.

Barrow to Carlisle is 55 miles as the crow flies, the shortest route is 71 miles (but nobody would go that way as it's through the Lakes and takes 40 mins longer), and the only logical journey via the motorway is 86 miles.
