I think the Norwich board would be too terrified to sack Alex Neil, just look at him!

I like to think we can stick with Monk and still stay up. Would be pretty snide to sack him off.
Didn't you say he'd have Swansea challenging the top four this season?

I think he should be given December to turn it around. If he can stop the rot then let him carry on, if not then you get a new guy in and give him January to do a bit of business. They're on a bad run, but they're still 15th, a turn around in December and they could climb the table, a poor run and they still might not be in the bottom 3. If the owners felt that Monk was doing the right things before the collapse then they should stick with him and ride out the poor run, at least until it looks like there's no chance the bloke can get back to winning ways.
They have Man City, West Ham, West Brom and Palace in December. I'd want 6-9 points from that to keep him in the job, also taking into consideration their position in the table on Jan 1st.

Monk is a bit of a David Moyes and he needs some time to get things stable, Everton used to yo-yo and then finally stabilized.

Based on what? He has no history in management. Maybe he's just not very good.

He hasn't got the eyes to be a David Moyes.

Swansea have enough quality and will stay up, but it's been a wake up call for them. Their strikers are dross, apart from Gomis, but even he scored his four goals in the first four rounds and has ran dry since then. That Eder guy they bought from Braga has been a flop and I'm fairly sure Swansea will be looking to buy another striker in January, at least if they're withing ~5 points from The Zone then.

Gomis is terrible. We need to sign another winger (fuck Routledge) and switch Ayew upfront. Go back to the fast attacking tempo that served us so well.

I can't agree that Gomis is terrible. Average, sure, but not terrible. Your real problem is that when Gomis isn't playing well, your other striker options are actually terrible.

Would you take Charlie Austin if he could be bought in January? No big club came for him in the summer and his stock isn't going to rise in the Championship. QPR don't look like getting promoted, either, and Austin isn't getting any younger. He could be the ideal signing for Swansea, imo.

For Villa, I hope and pray for a Portsmouth-esque freefall down the Football League.

The sooner those arrogant, deluded fuckers are back in the third tier, the better.

The division we've spent one season in compared to you lot's 4? At least we'll be joining you lot in your favourite division next season for your cup final, eh?

I don't think Villa will ever again surpass the noise levels the day when Birmingham City were relegated from the Premier League.

Soak it in once more and reminisce the good times...

Speaking of cup finals, we won one in 2011. It's now approaching twenty years since Villa last won theirs.

Hey, I was there then, we didn't exactly have much to cheer that season, in a relegation battle most of it and somehow finished 9th by the end...

Ah yes, and remind me, how many cups have you won in total?

But then look at our record. Our biggest celebrations (and biggest gate in several decades) was the day we won League 1, at home to Rotherham. :2thumb:
, our biggest celebrations were FA Cup quarters last year. I still hold out a minuscule amount of hope that our biggest will be us surviving this season.

There are so many teams in the relegation scrap. I wouldn't be surprised if the title winner gets over 90 points this year.
Watford - Mid-table.
Bournemouth - Unlucky with injuries. Probably get relegated if they don't pull off a miracle, but they'll come right back up.
Aston Villa - No way they'll get out this time.
Norwich - Between them and Sunderland to go down, but they'll go down.
Newcastle - 15th.
Sunderland - 17th.
Swansea - No top four, but possibly top half.
Chelsea - Probably mid-table finish. Would be great if they got relegated though.
West Brom - They can stay up pretty easily.
Leicester - I told you they would stay up.
