I was generally going for songs that are just shit or covers that shouldn't have been made.

Uptown Funk for instance is a non-runner, whereas the Mr T entry is bang on the money.

Because it's just *not*. I mean all modern music is pretty crap, but objectively you can see that the Mr T song is far worse than Uptown Funk.

I get what're you saying Murphy, fair enough. You're right on most modern music being crap, but I prefer to say modern POP music is crap. There's still some decent indie/alt rock/metal/punk being produced nowadays.
