South American Floods and Ecuador Earthquake

As you may know, Ecuador are suffering from the aftermath of a powerful 7.8 earthquake.

They aren't the only nation in trouble at the moment, as Chile and Uruguay currently having floods. Although nowhere near as bad as the earthquake, the floods have left 80,000 without electricity in Santiago, and damaged the water supply.

I narrowly missed being in Chile for the 2010 earthquake, if it had been 48 hours later I would have been in Santiago. I was however in Valparaiso two years later for one that measured about 6.5 on the Richter Scale. I don't mind admitting that it was one of the scariest moments of my life.
