I've got to say I don't really understand why Arsenal are playing Bournemouth on Monday after playing the evening match today. Leicester v Man City is the only Tuesday game, Sunderland Liverpool on Wednesday, then we all play on Saturday. I don't get why the teams from the later fixture today aren't getting the Tues/Wednesday game/s.
I suppose the difference isn't that great, but it just sounded nuts when they were saying in commentary they've got less than 48 hours before they play Bournemouth. It's the same for Newcastle and Everton I suppose too.

How nice of Koscielny just to give up once Long was put through for the fourth goal.

Martina's goal reminded me of another gem vs Arsenal.

Played City 48 hours after Southampton last played too. Madness.

Will be similar to the 6-1 game a few years a go.

Well we were close! Great game to watch.

They aren't always the most effective footballers, but Long and Ward-Prowse always put in 100% when Pelle and Tadic often struggle to break into a jog, so maybe that's what we've been missing. Always had faith that Koeman would eventually get us going again, will be a massive loss when he eventually leaves for bigger things.

Difficult for Arsenal with injuries but I imagine they'll need to start their 4 senior outfield subs against Bournemouth (Gabriel, Chambers, Ox and Gibbs).

Maybe line up something line:

---------------------Cech

Bellerin -- Koscielny --- Gabriel -- Gibbs

------------Ramsay----Chambers-------

Walcott------------Ozil---------------Ox

-------------------Giroud

What a donkey Koscielny is. Arsenal will never win the title with players like him. Players like Ozil and Sanchez could only do so much to guide the donkeys.

It was probably one of the poorest defensive performances I've seen this year. Torn a new one by Long.

Just seen the highlights.

Arsenal fans can go on about poor officials all they want but what about Long's disallowed goal? Mertesacker is 6ft 5 of weak c*** for the Long one. It's worth noting that Long was just giving Mertesacker as good as he got throughout the game.

Also think the lino has guessed on the Van Dijk goal. Probably given it offside because of Fonte.

Spot the obvious Arsenal fans in the home end.

Sounds like a bit of a Christmas hangover, that one. Oh well, first goal was ace to be fair, Roberto Carlos eat your heart out. Not enamoured to be playing again so soon after, especially as we still can't rotate too many of our players, but at least we've got a couple of home games coming up and the January transfer window can't come soon enough either.

Something happens to our right backs when we play Arsenal.

What a fail from Arsenal right when they could take the top. I think a crucial point was the strong marking on Ozil that neutralized well his creation skills then Arsenal had hardships to attack unlike Southampton that when got to play in the front smashed the opponents.

Can't believe how shit Cech was in this game. That's why they bought him isn't it? When his defenders are having a poor day (and they were) he would be there to provide the saves in order to avoid hidings. He can't do much on the first goal but no excuses on the 2nd (ball was in the 6-yard box!) and 4th (gets nutmegged like Fabianski).
Mertesacker being owned by Long is half expected tbh but Cech really had a horrible, horrible game.
