Ahhh let the fun begin.
Don't see us winning this, we're never good on the opening day.
Pre-Season showed plenty of warning signs with the system Hughes seems to be playing, 3 CBs, all dogshit slow. We're at a stage now where we are desperate for Maya Yoshida to be fit to play - That just shows how much we've declined over the last two seasons.
1-1. Shane Long to get a goal, probably his only of the season.

About as good a match as you’d expect between Southampton and Burnley.
McCarthy saved us in the first half, but it was good to see some proactive subs from Hughes with both Elyounoussi and Ings coming on and we dominated after that.
Unlucky not to get the win, but a point will do at this stage.
