Well the Southampton bloke did move his head away from the ball to avoid contact so can see why an inexperienced official might think he was involved in the play .

That penalty not given to Watford makes a mockery of all Austin's complaints about decisions costing them points. Would've been penalty and second yellow. Poor refereeing for both teams.

Also, sooner Southampton sack Hughes the better.

The ref thought Yoshida had actually touched the ball hence disallowing their goal and presume he though Bertrand also got the ball when tackling Chalobah ..

A case of where having the ref explaining his decisions might have helped .
