CRAZY CRANIUM GOES FURTHER: FAN ALLEGES HE CALLED HIM AN ARMCHAIR SUPPORTER
SPORTING LEYLAND SUPPORTERS TRUST RELEASE STATEMENT ON FICKLEGATE
The Sporting Leyland Supporters Trust (SLST) must voice serious concerns about the recent comments made by Mr Cranium. Whilst we understand that they may have been taken out of context, to call a loyal fan who has followed the club for the past 2 hours "fickle" and an "armchair reporter" is utterly disgraceful, horrific and disgusting. We are horrifed by these comments, and call for a full investigation. Without these "fickle" fans, football is nothing. This is why we, the SLST, will be taking steps to secure partial ownership of the club so that we can have a voice in the future of our club.
Signed
The SLST Board.

Chief Exec backs owner over "fickle" row

Chief executive of Sporting Leyland FC - StagsForLife has backed the owner to bounce back over recent alleged comments. Richard Cranium was accused of calling the fans fickle which led to an uproar with the supporters of Sporting Leyland. After a 4-2 defeat in SL's first game of the season, StagsForLife stated "It's a time where we all need to come together as one and all push in the same direction if we're to accomplish our targets this season".

I appreciate the support from our Chief Exec.

In other news, I need to speak to Chief of the Supporters club about the fans opinion on scrapping this red kit.

I will announce a manager this Thursday, we only have one applicant so far. JoeJoeJoeJoe has not sent me any proof but has assured me he is the special one on Football Manager.

Stick with us, this is the start of something special.

Also, the kit should be blue as Leyland is Rovers territory.

Didn't that shit team from the Mike Basset series come from up Preston way somewhere? We need to beat them fuckers.

I'll look into a friendly. They lost 6-0 to Mansfield so they must be shit.

FANS SPLIT OVER CRANIUM CONTROVERSY
SPORTING LEYLAND fans are of a mixed attitude towards the recent comments made by Richard Cranium, the clubs owner. One, who wished to remain unnamed, stated that the comments were perhaps "unhelpful" but expressed his views that "a mountain had been made out of a golf-ball sized molehill". Others made their opposition clear, waving banners suggesting that Cranium has been a negative force at Leyland, driving the club into the ground. Mr Cranium's representatives were not willing to give a statement to the press last night, however, the Chief Executive "StagsForLife" stated that both fans, players and management needed to "come together as one and all push in the same direction if we are to accomplish our targets this season".
Many remain unconvinced; one pundit stated that English Football was clearly at "crisis point", with Andy Townsend stating "Some fans aren't happy and some are", with Michael Owen agreeing with the sentiment.

The off field events will be an unwelcome distraction to the players, who having lost 4-2 in their inaugural game, are awaiting the appointment of a permanent manager. More to follow.

JUST IN: PLAYERS REACT
"This is all very distracting for the players".
