As said on MOTD last night, "Tottenham should be challenging for a top 2 place this year." With Leicester's good form spurs's solid results have certainly got a bit under the radar, but they are churning out consistently good results. As well as this, they have a young yet talented squad, with quality in most areas of the pitch - in theory they can only improve with young talent like Kane, Dier, Alli, etc. As an unbiased supporter when it comes to the title race (neither of my clubs will be challenging anytime soon :ffs:), it would be great to see Spurs win the league. Especially seeing as they have so many young and talented english players.. Anybody else agree?!

I like the fact they are giving youth a chance and they do look decent, but if they genuinely id challenge then this would show the league really is weak this year rather than them being championship material in a usual season. No offence meant.

Spurs are doing good this season, the squad fully adapted to Pochettino's tatics and that's brining good results to the club. Though I don't know if they're ready to dispute the title right now but if they keep the good work they have meaningful chances of getting a place at next Champions League.

I think Leicester have already proven that.

Not that I wish to put this good thread off topic chimp but where do you see Leicester finishing? Having them in the CL would be fantastic. Having them win the league would put Arsenal and Man City to shame though.

^ ^ As much as I'd love to see Leicester winning the league, I just can't see them keeping this up throughout the whole season... Tho tomorrows game vs city will show us what they are made of.. I see them finishing 4th or 5th.
City
Arsenal
Spurs
Leicester/Liverpool
Chelsea (!)

Top 4 would be great, though I'd hope for top 3 as you just know we'd get some fucking nails fixture for the qualifier.
Anything top 6 is good though. January is massive for us, and I think in the new year teams will change the way they play against us like Liverpool did, and it may see us struggle.

France haven't won their CL qualifier in 3 seasons now. It's a real tough test right when the season starts.

Just the fact that people are talking about this possibility proves how crazy this season is.

Tottenham have a chance.

I expect they'll run out of steam. Their high-pressing game will knacker their small squad out by March, there's the Europa League to come back and a lot more pressure towards the end of the season. But yeah, why not go for it? No one else is any good this season.

I don't think fatigue will be a big issue, they had Trippier starting his first PL game this season and Tom Carroll starting, too, and still won. Eriksen on the bench. Kane is the only player that really can't be replaced - but even then Son could surprise if played up front.

They have a very evenly balanced squad. I'm counting on the fact that it lacks top quality, not that it lacks depth. Surely you cannot win the league with Erik Lamela and Danny Rose?

Still think City will win the title, however Spurs can certainly challenge for the title.

United need to change things to finish top 4, with either a complete managerial change or Van Gaal to accept he needs to do something to mix things up. They're simply too predictable at the moment and no one is scared of them. So that means only two teams from last season's top 4 are nailed on to do it again this time round, that being Arsenal and City of course. At this moment in time you have to say the favourites for the other two spots are Spurs and Leicester. With the latter I think JimJams has a point, teams will have seen how to nullify their strengths, and combined with the fatigue that hits in from around February.

I don't believe Spurs will challenge for the title (the definition for me being a realistic chance with 2-3 games to go), but they have a fantastic chance of Champions League football next season. I like to think we could join them, but we have serious consistency issues to overcome, although this season is so fucking mad I wouldn't rule us out of doing it. I hate to post an old cliche, but next season is when we can seriously look at Klopp and what he will bring to the club.

Fuck it, for me at the moment:-

1) City
2) Arsenal
3) Spurs
4) Liverpool
------------------
5) United
6) Leicester
7) Chelsea

Spurs have a small squad, they'll burn out in Jan/Feb/March as is tradition. So much knee jerk on one forum.

Said all season Spurs look the genuine article this year. Yes they could very well do it and they are less mentally flaky than Arsenal anyway. :ohy:

City are not going to finish top with the away record they have. They haven't won away from home since their 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on 12th September.
