Come on Arsenal!
All the fans seem to have resigned themselves to a loss. Therefore with no expectation, they'll win. 0-2.

Main match of 29th tournament English Premier League is the match Tottenham – Arsenal. Spurs are slight favorite on corners to Gunners. But is it fair? Let’s find out.

Tottenham plays very well home games. They supervised 14 home games in the League. The team has great result: 11 wins, 2 ties and only once Spurs was defeated by Manchester City. Hosts take on average 7.71 corners per game and allow opponents take on average 4.5 corners during a game on White Hart Lane. More over average Tottenham corners is 11.6 in the last 5 games. And the encounters delivered 4.6 corners per game. Arsenal and Leicester take on average 5.21 corners away. West Ham United takes slightly more corners than Arsenal and Everton takes slightly less corners than Spurs. If you look at how Tottenham played at home with those clubs on corners you will see that Spurs won three times. Lately Leicester was defeated by Spurs, the score was 16:8.

Arsenal supervised 14 games away but results on corners aren’t so impressing – 6 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats. The result of last 5 games is 2 defeats, 1 draw and only 1 win. If to take to attention 5 last games there is number of just 3.8 corners oer game for Arsenal (while encounters average corners is 5.4). Manchester City and Liverpool take on average 7.71 corners at home that is similar for Tottenham. Manchester City will face Arsenal later, and Liverpool won at home on corners from Arsenal with big result 9-3.

If you look at stats of head-to-head matches on Tottenham’s field Spurs are really successful because they won 4 of 5 games and only once was defeated. Spurs took on average 7 corners per match while Gunners just 4.8.

So I think that bet on Tottenham on corners is attractive. Bookie 1xBet offers 1.77 odds on upcoming match.

Going out for a few beers to watch this - The North London Derby usually delivers a good match so quite excited for it and expect a Spurs win and BTTS. Going for 2-1.

Most people seem to be looking at this match as a (mental) test for Arsenal, but I'd say the pressure is at least as much on Tottenham. Arsenal are in bad form and they're missing three starters in Cech, Koscielny and Cazorla. It's Tottenham's home game. Let's put it this way that if it ends a draw, Arsenal should be happier with the point, imo.

Every few minutes I seem to forget that Ospina will be in goal, Koscielny will be missing and we've got no-one who can control the ball in midfield so we'll be completely overrun, and I think "well MAYBE..."

But then I remember those things. I've put all £14 in my Betfair account on Spurs. Maybe that'll numb the pain a bit. I'll go out for dinner tonight or something.

Arsenal: Ospina, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Gabriel, Gibbs, Coquelin, Ramsey, Elneny, Ozil, Alexis, Welbeck

Reasonably satisfied with that. Ramsey on the right. A LOT will depend on Elneny. Haven't seen enough of him to form an opinion really, but if he can hold onto the ball fairly competently we might... MIGHT stand a chance of getting something.

Welbeck over Walcott and Giroud is just a no-brainer at the moment. The other two have been fucking pathetic lately.

Surprised to see Gibbs in over Monreal, wonder what the thinking is there.

Yep my only real disappointment (bar the injuries) is Gibbs over Monreal. I'm excited to see Elneny in a big game now, I think our midfield will improve with him in the middle over Ramsey simply as our passing should be much better. He's played Spurs before at Basel so this shouldn't be completely new to him, although it's obviously a much bigger game. Whilst it is a risk, Ramsey - Coquelin just doesn't work so it's probably a risk worth taking.

EDIT: Forgot about no Campbell, but Wenger did bring up tiredness after the Swansea game so perhaps he didn't want to start him. Or maybe we're going 4-3-3 to clog up the midfield.

Spurs can't keep this intensity up the whole game. Need a goal this half but they haven't created anything yet.

Tenner on Lamela getting sent off? He's throwing himself into those tackles.

Lamela is always so reckless, he doesn't change his game at all after getting a yellow.

Arsenal have been sloppy on the ball, though Spurs pressing game has been very impressive. Danny Rose has stolen the ball off Bellerin and Ramsey deep in the Arsenal half, easily outmuscling the opposition. Arsenal haven't had a sniff, their attacking players don't look capable of doing anything. All that said, I can see this ending 0-0.

EDIT: why does this keep happening to me? Great goal against the run of play. Viva Leicester. :D

Sexy finish from Ramsey.

Spurs have been the better side by far so far but they've not taken advantage.

Are Spurs going to Spurs it up?

Can say Arsenal have been poor but tactically Wenger looks to have it spot on. Weathered the Spurs storm and took advantage once the game hit a lull. Spurs pressing way too high and could lose this by a few if they keep playing so recklessly.
