How Easy Was The Ground to Get To (from the station, by car, etc)
The ground has two metro stations within walking distance.
If Applicable, How is Parking Near The Ground?
N/A
Based on Where You Were Sat, How Was the View?
Brand new modern ground so views are good all round...unless you happen to be sat near one of the 8 foot high fences European grounds seem quite keen on erecting between rival fans...
How Were The Stewards on The Day?
Luckily for us, the stewards werent arsed and were openly telling people to go where they wanted. Just as well really as my seat was so awful, nobody was bothered about stopping us just standing up at the back on the aisle!
If You Ate at The Ground, How Would You Rate the Food?
Dont. Just dont. Unless you want food poisoning. Didnt sell half the stuff the signs said they did, and what they did sell was still frozen in the middle.
How Was The Atmosphere At The Ground, From Both Sets of Supporters? Does the Stadium Hold the Noise?
Not the greatest. Should have been better from us given our numbers, while Lille's little band of Ultras did that thing European fans are fond of where one oddball with a megaphone shouts a lot and everyone shouts a response back. Doesnt help either when the ground has a Wembley-esque corporate middle tier breaking everything up.
How Are the Pubs and Local Attractions in The Local Area?
Not an awful lot right near the ground, but we'd stayed in the city centre all day anyway, which was just fine until the police started chucking tear gas around...
Overall Score Out of 10?
Definitely the most disappointing European away Ive done. The city was great, the policing and atmosphere much less so.
7/10
