Maybe the unpopular opinion but I think it looks awful
Loved the 2nd one on the PS2 but I'm hearing no campaign for this? Shouldn't have expected any less from EA but that's still really disappointing.
£55 mp only games are the future. Apparently.
Seen it for £39 online earlier.
You must troll harder next time
i kind of resent the idea that by making online multiplayer the focus of your project you're somehow creating a game that is for 'true gamers' (not that you're saying that at all, btw) when before the previous console generation the industry usually managed to cater to a variety of demographics. We've gone from an era of inclusivity to one where freezing out large sections of the community is seen as a good thing. Console exclusivity and pre-order culture are probably the two most egregious examples, but de-prioritising good design so that that money can be invested into graphics is also a big, big problem at the moment. It's so much easier to tack on a few online multiplayer modes and say it's for 'player freedom', something that 'encourages you to create your own experiences' than it is to actually design a truly open and expressive experience that is at the same time structured. CD Projekt Red did the Witcher III on a $15m budget and it looks gorgeous, has rich story missions and side quests, hundreds of interesting characters and enough varied content to keep you playing for weeks. What's more, it only spent three fucking years in development. I wonder how much time and money EA trying to make Darth Vader's helmet shine as realistically as possible.Played it earlier and it was pretty good, I like the ability to change between 3rd and 1st player perspectives. Though that's nothing unique.
In terms of single player modes, I genuinely don't play any FPS for the single player/story campaign, I purely play them for the multiplayer. However with a franchise like Star Wars it does feel like a missed opportunity. Although I imagine the online campaign is just as good, it's not going to be drop zone PvP and nothing else.
I used to love the old battlefront on the PS", I am thinking of buying a console just for this game, is it worth it?
(I still get the feeling that it'll launch very bare bones, and then get absolutely padded out with DLC
Been trying to find out is there some form of campaign modes like the previous battlefront games or is it all just online and survival modes?
If its only multiplayer I may not even buy this anymore, I used to love the single player career mode. At times I want to play games alone so wouldn't be this.Season pass already announced @ £40. Which essentially means you need to buy this game for £90+ if you actually want to play on populated servers. Think I'll give it, and EA's disgusting business model, a miss. Again.
It's multiplayer only.
