Seems a bit like when we appointed Alan Lord. Done well in caretaker but that was basically a honeymoon period and in the end his lack of tactical knowledge showed.

Heh, it is to be honest but he does deserve it, we've been excellent since he took over.

If he does have a weakness it might be that he's just 'too nice' to be a manager, he really is a thoroughly decent bloke. Highly likely that Sharps will be his assistant and he's a much firmer character so I think that will be a good mix between the two.

The other three interviewed were Richard Hill, Steve Watson & Paul Carden. Christ I'm glad Hill didn't get it.

Our cheap option was Andy Morrell and he's got us closest to promotion than anyone! He obviously had the players playing for him in those four games, why not give him a go? Your team should have done a lot better than it did this season, on paper at the start of the season I thought you looked ok. Sometimes the expensive name isn't the best option!
