Steve Evans is very angry (and fat)

Good to see you made it across here!

Glad to see you and all the familiar names.

I hadn't been on TFF since last Thursday so I had no idea it was closing down, not even the March closure.

I found this site purely by chance on Saturday, from a link on Bobs Board (Chesterfield Forum) and no Westbar's I wasn't trolling I didn't even register.

It's good to find another home, I can only thank all the guys who have set it up.

Getting our Wolves tickets on Monday, hope it's another 6 - 4 or rather 4 - 6 :hail:

He's like me at football manager, sign a shed load of players you hope will click and when they are much cop you ship them on and replace with equally dribble.

Hammill should do well for you. Not sure on Ward, although we got £350,000 for him so we're happy!

I remember when SERWA wanted £2,500,000 for Pringle in the Summer, 6 months later and he could be off for £250,000

Back when he was Crawley manager we once dicked them 4-0 on the opening day. As he walked off at half time that day he called one of our supporters who volunteers selling 50/50 tickets and that on match days was stood near the tunnel and he had ago at her and called her a fat bitch!

It was comedy gold!

Wasn't that when someone tapped him on the shoulder and said "Mate..... That's a mirror"

Agree on Hammill. On his day, sheer brilliance. Just don't play him on the same wing as the St John Ambulance volunteers.

Agree on SERNWA.

You got off lightly!
When we won away at Crawley he was positively apoplectic.
As well as slagging off our players and fans for 'over celebrating', he then turned the lights off and the sprinklers on when our players were having our warm down, and then had our manager arrested for racism for calling him Scottish!
They say 'you are what you eat', in which case at some stage he has ate one fucking fat, miserable bastard!

Joe Skarz had his contract paid up. One of our most consistent performers. Now leaves us with just loanees at left-back.

Absolute joke. Evans is ruining this football club.

SERNWA doesn't like Skarz. Blames him for the decline of Western civilisation. Had to go, I'm afraid. The money will get put towards building a bigger dressing room.

Can't see Evans staying much longer. He's now 4-1 to be next.

Who would next manager be for you?

Dunno if this is how to quote, but...I'd like Karl Robinson.
Yes, he's good. But realistic? MK Dons are growing in stature and could be a division above you in eight months.....

Robinson does seem well-connected though and attracts the right type of loanee.

Can I start a "Rotherham FC is dying" thread? Please? :fish:
If you like.

This post on our forum sums the situation up perfectly.

It's a shame to see Rotherham filling their ranks with loanees who aren't going to care as much in a relegation dog fight. The 'core' of players who looked so good in league 1 (the likes of Agard, Pringle, Freklington et)c could've held their own in this league. It's a shame that they haven't stepped up (Frecklington on the occasions I've seen him is probably the most guilty). Agard's greed led him to Bristol where I believe he's been injured, but it's a sign of what happens when you bring in so many new faces, especially most of whom are on loan.

That said, I'm dreading those last two games of the season (Wednesday away and Rotherham at home). Neither side will want to be relying on a result by that point.

Evans deserves at least this transfer window to steady the ship and figure out who his best team is. I'm not disagreeing with the quote from MillersMAD completely, but it was always going to be a difficult season making the step up AND having to do it with almost an entirely different team.....why Skarz was allowed to leave tho is beyond me.

Evans has just been on Radio Sheffield saying 'after 12 games it wasn't working'.

After 12 games we'd just beat Leeds to go mid-table after beating Blackburn and drawing at Norwich. We've won 1 game in 3 months since then. What the fuck is he talking about.

If by 'wasn't working' he means we weren't playing slow, boring football with a squad full of loanees/journeymen who couldn't give a fuck, then yeah he's right.

Millersmad is currently over run with posters who have been impatiently waiting in the wings for something to go wrong.
They are now in their element as we are suffering a lean spell for the first time since Evans took charge.

I don't know what they expected, 4th bottom was always going to be a good season from my view.
You would think we were 10 points adrift to hear some of them, still you can't beat a good moan.

If they channeled some of their energies into shouting the team on against Bolton tomorrow night, it might give the team a bit of confidence and who knows we might even score. :woo:

It's looking pretty likely that Ben Pringle will be a Preston player by the time the window closes.

But I thought Pringle was their best player? :)

Think League One is his level. Never looked anything but average when he was here.

Can't really comment on him at this level but he's a class above in League One, he had a good game against Leeds earlier in the season from what I saw.
