Well, well. First win under Nugent and hopefully a corner turned. What's waiting around that corner, only our old friends from up the A1.

We've been busy going down blind alleys and up garden paths under Nugent, so much so that a one point gap between us the day he took over is now 11.

Hopefully the players took some kind of confidence from that tremendous last 20 minutes last week and with some injuries clearing up, hopefully we won't embarrass ourselves.

Surely this will be a better spectacle than last season's video nasty, at least from Stevenage's side?

Stevenage have lost 8 of their 19 home games this season and we've won 7 of our 19 away games.
Let's hope that's a good sign!

Stevenage were excellent at The Hive earlier this season. Powerful, well organised and dangerous from every set piece. I'm expecting a bit of a thumping if I'm honest, despite last weeks much needed win.

I wonder if we will wear the new kit?

Luckily prior commitments didn't allow me to go today otherwise I probably would've been arrested for buying our Alfie a pint for such honest insight.

I had a lovely walk in the Roaches in the Staffordshire part of the Peak District, which was almost certainly more enjoyable than yesterday's match.

Turns out that corner we kept going around only brought us back to where we started. Poor performance against a well organised Stevenage side.

The highlight was Alfie. Brought the house down, not only with his answer to the patronising guy with the mike, but also the way he stomped off back to the cheering Barnet fans giving him a standing ovation. Legend!

Things must be very boring as a Crewe supporter if he has to go onto threads like this to query something like what I said!
