RefWatch; Ref for Stevenage game is Charles Breakespear, 34, from Surrey. FL ref since '13. Has the reputation of being extremely picky - one of the fussiest refs around. Looks a bit like Rommel, and I'm sure if the Germans had him back in WW2 the Allies would have surrendered in a week and now we'd all be eating sauerkraut in our lederhosen while our hausfraus play with our wombletodgers. Now I've got an image of Akinfenwa wearing a skimpy lederhosen outfit, thanks brain.

Reffed Wombles twice; 2-0 away win v Pompey in Dec '14 (4Y 1R) and the 2-2 draw with Sarfend in Sept '14 (3Y, Pell R). Reffed Stevenage twice (W1 D1). Hates the scum. Reffed them once & they lost. Hates them. It's not widely known but the name 'Winkelman' comes from the German 'Wink' which means 'Weasel faced rat brained c*** whose mum sucks off sailors for a fiver' which makes perfect sense. Good judges of character, the Germans. In 36 games this season he has given 140 Y & 4 R - high fussy Y.

KettleWatch; Vanni, Laker, SVH, TommoCUFC, Habbinalan, Tom CUFC; forget any playoff dreams right now boys, cos Terrifying Trev will be waddling around the Abbey ruining your football on Saturday. That's your season over, Cambridge. He says that he served with the RAF in Afghanistan on the operations side, and if his Army work is anything like his reffing, it explains why everything worked out so wonderfully well for everyone over there.
AnagramWatch; Charles Breakspear = Arab Spears Heckler.

Trev! What a legend for such an important game.

I've always had a strong dislike for Stevenage, stemming from Westley's time there and the fact it is a shithole town (and we never win there). But they're now my second favourite team. ;-)

All that said, we'll probably lose to Plymouth anyway. Be nice if us and Stevenage would keep our dreams alive for another week though and make Wimbledon actually have to get a result against Newport.

It's volunteers awayday on Saturday. In the seven that I've been to, we've won once. Make of that what you will.

Anyone else starting to get nervous now?

Would be nice to qualify tomorrow and have a stress free last game vs Newport and also rest some players.

Just wanted to drop in here to say congrats to Wimbledon and their supporters on getting the final play off spot. I wish you all the best in the play offs. :)
