1 game in .......is anyone 'managing thier expectations ' after Saturday ? .....I'm hoping Colchester are a good side cos we matched them and with a bit of luck could have won , if they are a bad team then we are done for !

Well, the Oystons still own the club so it all means very little.

But a comprehensive victory against a decent established Exeter is a stride towards the right things. I like Bowyer quite a bit.

I've not thought for a moment Blackpool would struggle ; in fact I think they'll go up one way or another ......that's just my thoughts on the playing squad ......my thoughts on the owners are the same as just about every other football fan

We need to improve or risk a relegation battle.

Despite the knee-jerk reaction from some of our fans I thought we played well on Saturday and were very unfortunate not to get the win against a well-organised Carlisle. I'm confident that we'll be at the right end of the table again; hopefully we can go one step further this year.

Pleasing result on Saturday if only in terms of getting a point on the board in the toughest game of the season. The way we played to get it won't be replicated in future matches so I guess there's not much else to take from it other than that we're well organised and that Lambe has non-human pace.

I'd class it more as a 'head screwed on, cautious optimism'. We have a well-balanced squad with some talent to do well in it, however, there's fitness question marks over a few of our new signings (that's probably how they've ended up at Mansfield Town). So if anything does for us this season it might just be the nature of the long hard slog of the duration of the season on a small squad.

Stay injury free and we have an opportunity for a run at the play-offs.

I see Cheltenhams romp to the title got off to the perfect start conceeding the opener to Leyton Orient within 3 minutes.

I expected defeat at Pompey on Saturday, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw when it was 11 v 11. Im not judging the performance once down to 10 because we completely stopped playing and shut up shop, all it proved is that if we need to we can defend for our lives. I do still worry about us defensively in an open game, but I think our creative players will cause problems. Still think we're short of a pacey direct option though.

I'm still optimistic that we will finish higher than 15th.

We were dogshite Saturday, hoped we might have stopped being a bunch of playacting hoofstrels but on the available evidence, no such luck.

I suppose you don't sign Adebayo sodding Akinfenwa to play tiki-taka.

I'm as optimistic now as I was Saturday morning. That is to say, absolutely nothing has changed on the basis of one game.
