With two weeks to go, most teams will have done the bulk of their business. Although there may be a few edits before the season starts, curious to see what everybody thinks is their strongest starting lineup.

I'll kick it off with Daggers

Not sure what our strongest line up is but I've a feeling this may be our line up for our first league game

Slocombe
Brindley Lacey Graham Chicksen
Doyle
Roberts Reeves Boldwijn
Wootton Thomas

Not sure Doyle and Reeves will play together in which case maybe Rodriguess or O'Brien as a number 10 and he'll rotate the pair.
Manager said he wanted to play two up after one of the friendlies but we have been playing a diamond midfield.
Defence looks strong, think we'll score goals but centre midfield looks a bit weak to me.

IMO:

Slocombe

Brindley, Lacey, Rawlinson, McCrory

Reeves, Doyle

Roberts, Rodrigues, Boldewijn

Wootton

OR

Slocombe

Brindley, Lacey, Rawlinson, McCrory

Boldewijn, Reeves, Doyle, Roberts

Wootton, Thomas

To be honest we have a lot of players who are interchangeable without making much difference to the quality, mostly in the full back and attacking mid positions, I’d say only Lacey, Roberts, Wootton are pretty much dead certs for a starting XI berth

ATM it won’t matter what 11 Notts put out, minimum 4-0 defeat for us with our current squad

Call me crazy but I could see Harris getting dropped to the bench and Davies starting with Durrell moving central. I'll be surprised if Jordan Davies isn't involved in the starting XI.

You can also swap Dibble out for any random fan.

As it stands, I'd say our strongest Halifax team would be:

Johnson

King Maher Clarke Bradbury Senior

Green (Woods or Summerfield)

Earing

Stenson Hyde

We've got a centre back due to sign any day that we've been after for weeks so he may get in the team over Bradbury. Woods/Summerfield is up for debate, think Green is the only definite.

Stenson supposedly tore his hamstring yesterday so suspect we'll bring in another striker as Wild said he was keeping one signing up for debate in case of an injury. We only had Allen as cover anyway so we probably needed another striker regardless

Doubt that team will change much otherwise. Don't think I'll be far off there

Agree with all of this really - I think our depth is outstanding and the plan seems to be for that to be key in an even more compressed season than usual. The ability to rotate with any real drop off (bar, as you say, a couple of players) could be key.

Only real worry is that we don't have a genuine goalscorer (unless Wootton pushes on again, which is possible, but think he's probably a 15 man rather than 25). But we do have four or five players who you'd expect to get 10+.

What no Quigley! Think Rance and possibly even Phipps will start ahead of Robinson this season given the set up in friendlies I’ve seen. Nice to have some decent options for once.

So virtually the same as last season, but with a better keeper. I think Sarll will want to get loanee Jack Clarke into the midfield somewhere as he's been raving about him pre season, would probably be for Smith if he does.

For us, I’d probably go:

Walker
Fowler Finney Sendles-White Colombie
Nouble Rees Whittingham Tanner
Bettamer McCormack

Pretty different to last season, especially going forwards. I’d say on paper we’re stronger than last season, but difficult to tell at this stage. Will be interesting to see how we cope without Chislett who was probably our best player last season. Also a big shame about Kinsella, our first choice left back, who is out for several months due to a reoccurrence of an injury.

For us with a 4-4-2 formation (I actually don’t know what formation Beadle will deploy)
Loach
Duffus(?), Nugent, Harry Taylor, Hernandez
Fonguck, Richards, Dunne, Mason-Clark
JJ Hooper, Walker

We obviously still haven’t completed our recruitment as Fonguck is not a genuine wide player and Duffus is more of a backup utility player than anything else.

I literally have no idea! We've seen so many different line ups and formations in pre-season it's hard to know what is the best shape and who fits in where.

If we're saying 4-2-3-1 then i'd take a stab in the dark at:
GK Ben Hinchliffe
RB Macauley Southam-Hales
CB Liam Hogan
CB Ash Palmer
LB Mark Kitching
CM Lois Maynard
CM John Rooney
AMR Alex Reid
AML Jordan Williams
No 10 Connor Jennings
STK Ritchie Bennett

This would leave a ridiculously strong bench of:
Nyal Bell
Adam Thomas
Jordan Keane
James Jennings
Josh Barnes (GK)

and would leave the likes of Minihan & Stott not even in the 16 which is almost unthinkable!

Like others, we've played different personnel in different formations and there doesn't appear to be a set XI that the management team have gone with this pre-season.

Above team looks pretty strong for NLN, but the not really sure how we're going to line up formation wise this season. We look good at the top end of the pitch and will be hard getting all our attacking options on the pitch. Could easily be a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3.

Went for 4-4-2 as it seems to get most of the new players and those who performed well last season.

Can't argue with that. The CM spots are the hardest to call. I wouldn't be surprised if Deering was the one to be sacrificed with Robinson, Brundle and Phipps all involved. Could be any of the 5 options in there.

crazy to think that before Kelleher signed, Vassell was easily first choice CB pairing with Pearson. I think all three will get game time though throughout the season.

Very difficult to pick a strongest line up from our squad, the strength in depth is crazy.

1. Hinchliffe
2. Minihan / Southam-Hales
3. Kitching / J.Jennings
4. Maynard / Croasdale / Keane
5 & 6 Hogan / Stott / Palmer / Keane
7. Thomas / C Jennings / J Williams
8. Rooney / Gilmour / Croasdale
9. Bennett / Reid / Bell
10. C Jennings / Rooney / Gilmour
11. Williams / Kitching / C Jennings

Why such a small squad for Stockport 2 days before the big kick off?

He's named the same players for different positions to illustrate versatility.

We have a squad of 19. I informed the forum of this weeks ago. The information was disclosed.

Think our business is done now.

I'd go with (433)

Ravas, Cass, Odusina, Liddle, Ferguson, Shelton, Featherstone, Holohan, Molyneux, Ofusu, Bloomfield.

On paper, plenty of dynamism in midfield, pace and flair going forward. Question marks over the defence and keeper but if Ravas is as good a prospect as Derby fans say then he's an upgrade on Killip. Lacking a prolific striker but I'm backing DC to get the best out of the options he has.
