Moments to remember

5-1 home win over Ipswich and 2-1 win at Burnley in the league. Also the 3-1 fa cup win at home to West Brom.

Moments to forget

4-2 defeat at Fulham where we were 2 up after 50 minutes. 7 minutes later we were 3-2 down.

This season summed up in a single game

Qpr at home. Crap game which we lost and like most this season the performace was crap. Was also Steve Clarkes last game in charge of us.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season

All of the loan signings we got this season will be gone.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season

We will probably bring in a load of average players.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

We reached a forth fa cup quarter final in seven years.

What to expect next season

No idea.

How you feel about your season right now

Could be going better, but should hopefully be safe.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now

Tad disappointed but not totally unexpected.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you

Shit, Shit, Shit, Got rid of Cotterill....better.

Best signing

Jonathan Kodjia - £2.1m for a striker whose got 15

Worst signing

Fredericks, left the clubs a few weeks after having joined.

Best player

Korey Smith

Worst player

El-Abd (simply because he doesn't play) or if someone who has featured probably Fielding, the difference since O'Donnell has come in is noticable.

Most missed

Not missing anyone from last season so I'll say Luke Freeman being an influential player in the team or Korey Smith during his recent injury.

Moments to remember

City 6-0 Bolton, 90th Minute winner at Fulham.

Moments to forget

4-0 loss at home to Brighton

This season summed up in a single game

Fulham away, awful start, then just after 2/3's of the way through manage to get a grip on what's happening and then finishing excellently.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season

Since Cotterill's sacking we've been in play off form.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season

Small squad without loanees so a lot of work still to do in transfer market.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

We blew the momentum of winning league 1 with a god awful transfer window and 532.

What to expect next season

Hopefully mid table security allowing us to progress, Ashton and co seem to have done well on transfers since coming in (O'Donnell permanently, Tomlin, Odemwingie).

How you feel about your season right now?
Massively relieved.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now?
Would have snapped your hands off to be in the postion (in the table) we are in.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you?
Slow start, disastorous middle bit and amazing ending.

Best signing?
Lee Camp ran close by Joe Newell.

Worst signing?
Take your pick from Brandon Barker, Shay Facey or Andrew Shinnie.

Best player?
Lee Frecklington, the heart and soul of the team.

Worst player?
Shay Facey is technically still with us so Shay Facey.

Most missed?
Kari Arnason, probably one of the best players that will ever have played for us.

Moments to remember?
Wednesday away, Middlesbrough at home and last minute equaliser against Derby.

Moments to forget?
All 20 games of Neil Redfearn.

This season summed up in a single game?
The 3-3 draw with Derby, we came up trumps in the end.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season?
Neil Warnock hinting he'll stay on and 3 shite teams coming up from league one.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season?
We've still got Paul Green and Danny Collins.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...
Neil Warnock came home and performed a miracle.

What to expect next season?
Another struggle with is finishing in 19th place.

How you feel about your season right now

Pleasantly surprised by the team and how they've adapted to the Championship, the jump in quality is nowhere near as high as I was expecting and there is very little between the bulk of teams at this level.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now

Delighted.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you

Very steady after a disappointing and pretty worrying start, we're very hard to beat.

Best signing

Greg Cunningham, class left back.

Would have been Pickford if he didn't go back in January.

Worst signing

Spent good money on Stevie May who is now out for a year after making only 4 starts, not his fault but annoying.

Eoin Doyle has been disappointing.

Best player

Paul Gallagher is definitely our best player, moved to a deep central midfield role and has done well. Prefer him out wide but it's a sign of a good player who can play in numerous positions and still excel.

Worst player

Harsh to single anyone out this season, our shit players such as Andy Little and Kyel Reid are out on loan and will be released in the summer.

Most missed

Jermaine Beckford, massive loss to us in terms of our forward play.

Moments to remember

Burnley and Bolton away were both great, really enjoyed our home win against Sheffield Wednesday too. Kilkenny scoring against Bristol City was also hilarious.

Moments to forget

Bolton at home & QPR away, both 0-0 and disgusting games of football. Our defeat at home to Brentford was a shocking performance too and a big Grayson balls-up tactically.

This season summed up in a single game

Beating Forest at home 1-0. Low scoring with us defending very well, but overall not great to watch.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season

Trevor Hemmings has shown he's willing to invest in young players with the signings of May, Pearson and Grimshaw. Hopefully we will also have Beckford up and running, with the rest of the team a year wiser at this level.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season

Teams could get wise to our tactics and we could continue to score very few goals, I think we might need a change in approach but don't think we will see one.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

we won away at Turf Moor, Bolton and hopefully Ewood, with a nice top 10 finish.

What to expect next season

Optimistic - a crack at the play-offs.

Realistically - another season of consolidation.

How you feel about your season right now?
Open minded, happy to go with the flow.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now?
Satisfied with the play off position but disappointed that we're out of the autos fight.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you?
Best start to a season ever to being bottom of the form table in the country, sound. Stumbling along.

Best signing?
Jacob Butterfield

Worst signing?
Alex Pearce, surplus to requirements after the Shackell signing.

Best player?
Richard Keogh.

Worst player?
Hard to pick the worst as there have been a lot of underperforming players since Christmas. Seeing as Bradley Johnson is the club's record signing I'll go with him, very underwhelming.

Most missed?
Obviously Will Hughes, suffered ligament damage on the opening day away at Bolton (Along with Craig Bryson), hard to replace.

Moments to remember?
2-0 win up at Hull and the 4-2 win at home to Wolves are standouts.

Moments to forget?
3-0 home loss to Brum, 3-0 lead thrown away against Rotherham the other week.

This season summed up in a single game?
Rotherham 3-3 Derby. Fantastic start, cruising to the finish line only to throw it all away... but still stumble along with a point.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season?
Mel Morris war chest number 2.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season?
Manager appointment still uncertain.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...
We sacked a guy doing an alright job to replace him with an academy coach to see us through to the end of the season despite still being very much in the promotion mix.

What to expect next season?
Bit of a theme occurring. We're good, just not quite Carling. End of season meltdown number 4.

Terrible.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now
Suicidal.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you
Terribly

Best signing
Honestly, none of them.

Worst signing
All of them but probably El Hadji Ba.

Best player
Bloody hell. I'll go with Lookman as he's just a kid and has put the others to shame.

Worst player
Take your pick. Ba or Makienok.

Most missed
Jackson probably.

Moments to remember
August.

Moments to forget
September, October, November, December, January, February, March and probably April and May.

This season summed up in a single game
Hull 6-0 Charlton.
Edit: Perhaps Brighton 3-2 Charlton. Brilliant, fast start. Absolute dog shit for the rest of it.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season
We won't be relegated from The Championship.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season
We might be relegated from League One.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

We threw beach balls on the pitch.

What to expect next season
More misery.

How you feel about your season right now

If you'd have asked me in May I'd have told you that we've wasted a season.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now

Absolutely fucking elated, given the woeful summer we had.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you

Shite largely, could have been so, so much better.

Best signing

Permanently - Kodjia.
Loan - Toss up between Tomlin & Baker.

Worst signing

Robinson, Cox, Fredricks, Pearce and Moore have all signed and probably have less than five games between them. Complete waste of money.

Best player

Korey Smith or Nathan Baker.

Worst player

Frank Fielding. If his contract gets renewed I will be distraught.

Most missed

JET. RIP my lover </3

Moments to remember

90th minute winner against Boro and Fulham. Both massive. That comeback against Leeds was quite funny as well.

Moments to forget

The entire time Cotterill was in-charge - in my mind he's still a hero for what he delivered last season. Will always love the guy.

This season summed up in a single game

Christ, um... Birmingham 4-2 City - shit at the back for the most of it.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season

Lansdown's going to get his wallet out in this summer, and this new COO has done well with attracting realistic propositions so far.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season

Fielding's contract may be renewed, and we still have a manager who hasn't had a full season in this league yet.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

The scenes Lee Tomlin's free-kick against Fulham produced.

What to expect next season

Money to be spent.

How you feel about your season right now
Pretty damn happy, in the play offs as it stands and some damn fine football being played.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now
Ecstatic, unknown manager and a large squad turnover, so top six unexpected

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you

An indifferent start where we only won one in seven followed by a settled period and playing some of the best football I've seen at ours in years.

Best signing
Fernando Forestieri and Barry Bannan, both put in key performances and are the reason we are where we are.

Worst signing

Daryl Lachman.....who? Exactly.

Best player

Kieran Lee, this season anyway, keeps his head down but is key to how we play.

Worst player

None really, not nice to pick out.

Most missed

Tom Lees had a stint out around the end of 2015 and we missed his presence at the back.

Moments to remember
Beating a strong Arsenal team 3-0 at Hillsborough.

Moments to forget
Disappointing performances at the likes of MK and Charlton.

This season summed up in a single game

Birmingham at theirs, a poor start and a couple of key players injured before a superb team goal started a fight back to seal a 2-1 win.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season

The owner is ambitious and should we fail this season I've no doubt we will be back stronger.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season

None

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

We finally became able to compete again

What to expect next season

Old Trafford, hopefully.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now

I'd have thrown my season ticket in a river
Quickly describe how the season has gone for you

Superb start after a slow August, but never really playing well. Tight defence won us games. Those defenders then forgot how to defend, and implosion #2 began.
Best signing

Jacob Butterfield
Worst signing

Alex Pearce - Pointless
Best player

Jason Shackell
Worst player

Nick Blackman - Said at the time it was a waste of money for a player who had been shit up until this season. He's now shit again.
Most missed

Will Hughes, obvs
Moments to remember

Nothing. None at all.
Moments to forget

All of it.
This season summed up in a single game

Rovrum 3-3. Get ourselves in a good position, before fucking up spectacularly.
Reasons to be optimistic for next season

None at the moment. Wait and see who the new manager will be.
Reasons to be pessimistic for next season

Implosions. Implosions everywhere.
In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when..

We spent £21m and didn't make the playoffs.

Promoted in December. Out of the playoffs by May.

How you feel about your season right now
Fairly happy really, still think our play off push should have been stronger after seeing how average the league is.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now
Over the moon, no new players brought in and a team that looked as clueless as the manager. Somehow it's all clicked together to sort of work.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you
From strength to strength, there's even been signs of good football here and there!

Best signing
Lex Immers, the Dutch sure know how to make them. Scores goals, creates goals, his all round game is very good. Made even better by all the reports from Holland labelling him as useless.
Worst signing
Gabriel Tamas, didn't play a game and got released last month.

Best player
Anthony Pilkington, liked him out wide, then moved up top where he seemed to find that goalscoring touch. If only he learnt the offside rule...

Worst player

Joe Mason, how this c*** robs a living as a footballer I'll never know. Should stick to robbing toasters from Currys.

Most missed
We only got rid of the useless ones so this doesn't apply.

Moments to remember
City 4-1 Brighton, probably the only time this season we have actually shown what we can do.
Moments to forget
The 2-0 defeat to Leeds, never have I seen one man keep a team in a game as much as Silvestri did in this.

This season summed up in a single game
Cardiff vs MK Dons. Complete borefest. I honestly fell asleep it was that bad.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season
Joe Mason doesn't play for us.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season
Scott Young is still on the coaching staff.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...
Vincent Tan tried to reconnect with the fans, even though it's far too late.

What to expect next season
A half tidy push for promotion.

How you feel about your season right now

Terrible - We've been in relegation form for over 5 months now. Thankfully looks like we've done enough to avoid relegation though.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now

Not surprised, but annoyed.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you

Started well, then everything went wrong, then a bit of stability, then a final 13 games of nothingness.

Best signing

Paul McShane, Free

Worst signing

Matej Vydra, £2.5m for a season long loan

Best player

Paul McShane

Worst player

Seeing as I can't say Nick Blackman anymore... A harsh vote for Jonathan Bond

Most missed

Adam Federici - Mostly for the first of the season goalkeeper shambles

Moments to remember

Reading 5 - 1 Ipswich. Reading 2 - 0 Middlesbrough. Reading 3 - 1 West Brom

Moments to forget

Everything outside of September/October except beating West Brom in the Cup.

This season summed up in a single game

Fulham 4 - 2 Reading. Started well in a tough fixture, then collapsed in the middle of the game, limping to the end trying to keep the score down.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season

Young-ish squad with another year of experience.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season

We need a decent Striker or we're relegated

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

Everyone accepted we're a midtable Champ side at best

What to expect next season

Another mediocre midtable season

How you feel about your season right now
Content with it, despite knowing we could be a lot higher.
How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now
Very happy.
Quickly describe how the season has gone for you
Had a stubborn manager who nearly sunk us, the board just about got rid of him in time, took a gamble with a manager and it looks to have paid off.
Best signing
Jonathan Kodija.

Worst signing
Do loans count? If so, either Gladwin or Pearce. Both barely featured.
Best player
Korey Smith.
Worst player
Mark Little.
Most missed
Has to be JET.

Moments to remember
The two Middlesborough games and Fulham away. Oh, and the 6-0 win over Bolton.
Moments to forget
Being 4-0 down to Fulham at home after 30 minutes and the Brighton loss.

This season summed up in a single game
Bristol City 2-2 Leeds. Horrendous for most of it, then turned it on in the last part.
Reasons to be optimistic for next season
We've sacked our player recruitment guy (that was our main weakness) so now we look all ready to recruit some decent players for next year.
Reasons to be pessimistic for next season
Most of our managers in recent times have been good for their first season (or, as most often happens, half season); and then they crumble in the second.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...
We took our first steps to consolidation in the Championship.

What to expect next season
A mid-table finish.

Harsh on Blackman, definately a player in there. Hasn't been given a proper chance here, which isn't surprising seeing as the sole reason we bought him was on Clement's reccomendation. New manager next year might get the most out of him.

How you feel about your season right now
OK. Knew it was going to be tough. Wanted to be six points clear of the drop zone and not really in any danger. The only positive I can see if we go down is that we now know how physical this league is and what's required to stay up.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now
Probably annoyed but it took a long time to come down from the manner of how we got promoted. We had given up in early March!

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you
No back to back wins will do for us in the end.

Best signing
has to be the loan of Jake Forster-Caskey

Worst signing
Benavente & Aguza from Castilla (Real Madrid B). It took Robbo five months to admit he had made a mistake that we saw that in the first three games. They were never going to be physically up to the demands of this league. It highlighted big issues in our recruitment and the lack of resources we have to scout effectively.

Best player
For sheer consistency it has to be Lewie. No pace, but what a footballing brain. That bit of intelligence has come to the fore this season.

Worst player
I'll look an idiot for saying this when he gets in the end of a Bale cross to seal a win against England in the Euro's, but Simon Chucrh. We knew he wasn't prolific, but we thought he might at least look like scoring.

Most missed
That Dele kid that's bossing games against the current World Champions, Germany.

Moments to remember
JF-C's free kick against Derby. Powell's late equaliser at Bristol City & the QPR home win.

Moments to forget
Southampton ripping us apart in a 6:0 defeat. Kay's OG at Elland Road, the annual Griffin Park Capitulation.

This season summed up in a single game
Balckburn Away. The better team for 45 mins, take lead, fail to get a second goal, tide turns and we're 2-1 down, manage to drag ourselves back into it at 2-2 only to concede a worldy free kick. That was our season in an afternoon.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season
If we're Championship:

We'll be battle hardened and know what it takes to survive and what kind of players to sign from the outset.
If we're League One:
We will retain much of this season's squad and with a half decent striker we'll be competitive next season.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season
We'll still have less money than 20 other teams in the league if we stay up.
We still won't have had a striker worthy of the name actually signed to the club long term since Sam Baldock.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...

We bit off more than we can chew, but our fanbase of kids learned that not every season is going to be plain sailing.

What to expect next season
Same manager whatever happens. It would take us being in a relegation battle in L1 at Christmas for their to be any real pressure. It's the proper way to run a club. Long term vision and strategy can only be implemented that way.

How you feel about your season right now
Could have and should have been a lot better and genuinely disappointed that Cott's wasn't up to this level.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now
At the start of last summer I would have been gutted but after our pathetic summer, it's not too bad.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you
As mentioned earlier, Cott's just can't manage at this level and was removed (unfortunately) just in time. It has saved our skin, hopefully.

Best signing
Kodjia, a bright light when we were shite!

Worst signing
Fredericks. Turned up, realised we weren't in London and fooked off!

Best player
Korey Smith by a long way.

Worst player
El Abd, just sitting on his contract claiming a wage. Really needs to leave. Of those that actually play, Luke Freeman has not stepped up as I expected.

Most missed
I guess it would have to be JET as the rest are still with us. If we had big Matt Smith, it would have helped at times.

Moments to remember
Fulham away was a belting away day but any day when we win and r*vers and Swindon lose is a good day!

Moments to forget
Fulham at home was humiliating. We were dreadful, really poor!

This season summed up in a single game
Fulham away again. Poor at the start, not much better in the middle but excellent for the final 3rd, getting our eventual goal (a win).

Reasons to be optimistic for next season
Our young side are Championship 'savvy' now and we know we aren't far away given the right recruitment as shown lately. Stadium will be finished so we can finally get more than 15,600 in. With the already added corporate / matchday / non matchday revenues, we should be more competitve budget wise, the concourses are rammed at every game, absolutely packed!

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season
Surely we can't have another summer like last year. Unrealistic potential signings really did cock us up.

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...
We arrived back at what we percieve as our correct level and, eventually, consolidated (if we stay up). I will remember it as a season when we should have powered on after last season but royally cocked it up.
It will also be the season when our pikey neighbours up the road were taken over and started on their relentless march to world domination (according to them anyway) ;)

What to expect next season
Depending on recruitment and wether we can get the likes of Tomlin (appears to be loving life at the Gate) and Baker on long term / permanent deals and replace dear old Wilbs with a younger model plus KEEP Kodjia and Korey, we should expect a solid mid table finish and maybe even a little flirt, at times, with the upper echelons. Mid table will do me! The lack of a loan window will hinder some and aid others IMHO, it will be interesting to see how clubs handle squad sizes next season.

How you feel about your season right now: Meh.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now: My expectations weren't high coming into this season anyway, so probably about where I expected to be fair.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you: Transitional. Losing your main two strikers was always going to have an impact.

Best signing: Danny Graham or Jordi Gomez (both on loan)

Worst signing: Nathan Delfuenso.

Best player: Grant Hanley. After a couple of years of bit of a lummox at the back he's finally proving himself to be a good defender.

Worst player: Chris Brown. Still not scored for us!

Most missed: Rudy Gestede. Losing Cairney's creativity and Rhodes ability to poach was been a big loss, but Rudy's sheer presence up front really made a huge difference to us.

Moments to remember: Our two-nil victory over Leeds at Elland Road where we scored staright away.

Moments to forget: Getting panned 3-0 away at MK Dons. Was meant to go to this but ended up seeing family instead and am super glad that was the case!

This season summed up in a single game: Losing 1-0 at home to Burnley. Played decent, couldn't finish and ended up losing by a narrow margin.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season: We've improved no end defensively this year and with a bit more

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season: Still playing Chris Brown up front!

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...we couldn't score in a brothel.

What to expect next season: A push for the playoffs as long as we get some firepower.

How you feel about your season right now: Considering the injuries and certain players leaving and the limited talent the squad possesses, we've done well to be in the top half.

How you would have felt in the summer about where you are now: Bit of a cop out, we were expected to spend big on quality but that hasn't happened, nor has it in the way of quantity. Poor recruiting this summer.

Quickly describe how the season has gone for you: A cop out.

Best signing: Michal Zyro. Looks a talent.

Worst signing: Sheyi Ojo.

Best player: 10 games played but Jordan Graham by a country mile. We miss that kid.

Worst player: Danny Batth. Sooner he's out the XI, the better.

Most missed: Jordan Graham.

Moments to remember: Battering Fulham away. The moment I thought we'd kick on. Brighton was probably our best performance this season.

Moments to forget: Middlesbrough away, we didn't turn up, Boro didn't try, thankfully. Utter dross.

This season summed up in a single game:
Hull at home. Just displayed how limited our players are.

Reasons to be optimistic for next season: Dicko, Graham and Williamson will come back. And young players will get better, and Sigurdarson will be off our payroll.

Reasons to be pessimistic for next season: We'll hardly spend, unless we get a sugar daddy, quickly!

In years to come, this will be remembered as the season when...we were gearing up for a promotion challenge and got sold down the river.

What to expect next season: Same as now.

Ojo was great for about 10 minutes of each game, but completely anonymous for the rest of it. If he was consistent, he'd probably be getting some game time at Liverpool now.
