Twas shocking defending from Sunderland and a massive bottle job to lose the match after being 2-0 up. There's something rotten about that club. The way they go through managers and somehow stave off relegation year after year is ridiculous. Moyes hasn't helped himself by doing fuck all in the transfer market either to be fair. Signing the likes of Victor Anichebe doesn't exactly scream ambition.
Sunderland look nailed on for the drop, I see people say that relegation will do them good but going down doesn't guarentee coming straight back up, as many clubs have found out.
Your comment could easily have been said at this stage of the season for the last four or five years. For the first time in ages they've got a proper goalscorer in Defoe so that always gives them a chance. They'll just do the usual and get a new manager in the next month or two and the players will show up for the last 10 games and stay up. Rinse and repeat.
Same shit different season. Losing Allardyce was a massive blow and the transition to Moyes has not gone smoothly, we need to get organised quickly. Dread to think what will happen if Defoe is injured.
