Sam will have his boys running full pelt against an abysmal Everton side bereft of confidence.

2 - 0 Sunderland and they stay up relegating Newcastle.

Draw or a win for Everton please. I'd like Sunderland's and Newcastle's games on the final day to mean something.

1-1

I remember back in the mid 90s when Liverpool were playing Blackburn on the final day of the season, and United were playing West Ham. If Blackburn beat Liverpool, they won the title regardless. If they lost and United beat West Ham, they won the title instead. Despite this, I still didn't want Liverpool to lose. Thankfully we beat Blackburn and Manure only picked a point up against Spam, so all was good but no fan should ever want their team to lose. Ever. And if they do, they're not a fan any football team should want.

Oh so a fan who sits at home every week watching on TV is a better fan than someone who attends every week.

A predictable response from someone who's nerve had been well and truly hit...

Oh, and take that hook out of your mouth.

Must be depressing to be a Norwich or Newcastle fan and having to rely on Everton scoring twice away from home in one half to stop your team from being relegated.

Expected Goals
We should have expected their downfall when Aaron Lennon was their best performing player. They are utterly dreadful though. They were awful against the champions on Saturday, and they look even worse today.

Sunderland fans must be loving it, confirming their survival and relegating Newcastle on the same night.

I can't see how Martinez keeps his job. Completely lost the fans and the team.

Martinez has always talked a good game, he's very good at deflecting blame in other directions and claiming his team "did enough" to win a game. He's nowhere near good enough for a side that wants to get into Europe.

This is the worst Everton I've ever seen and I can just about remember Walter Smith. Just nothing there. I like Martinez but it's curtains, no way back.

This is just disrespectful to Newcastle and Norwich. Sad days at Everton.

Villa would have a decent shout at beating this current Everton side, they're dreadful.

They deserve to be relegated just on this showing, it's just effortless.

Absolutely no way is this side anywhere near the sides Moyes put together down the years

Good turnout from the home crowd tonight, but that stadium will be half full next season, like always.

Well done big Sam, done it again at the expense of Newcastle as well, doubly sweet!

So Toddles, maybe if you guys are lucky you may have a final day relegation escape to enjoy as well next season.

Yep the appointment of Allardyce has fully paid off. He didn't have a good start but there's always at least a chance with him in charge. I can't see them pushing on with him, but I can't see them getting relegated either.. what now for Benitez, Townsend and Shelvey? Makes you wonder if they went there for a) the money and b) to try and play the "hero" if they avoided relegation
