Because I'm a twat who can't stop running these sorts of things, fuck it, I'm gonna start a new season of Superstar Wars mere hours after 1FF Wars has finished.
For those who have played before, this will be a little different than before, so you're best off reading up on it. And for those who haven't, here is a brief run down of what is involved... and when I say brief, it is very brief. Full rules and stuff will go up when the game starts properly.
As I mentioned before elsewhere, I want to take a different approach to SSW this time around. Before, it was always treated as if Wrestling were real, and you'd try to improve your ability to beat people and make it to the top. This time around, it's all different...
Mainly, in the sense that in this SSW universe, Wrestling is acknowledged as the fake, scripted show that we all know and love. Wins and loses aren't really important... there are really two important things that you need to drive toward. One is OVERNESS. This is how much the fans react to you, one way or the other. The other is, simply put, how much Vince Mcmahon likes you. It's difficult to succeed in WWE without both of these things... otherwise you end up over as fuck with no push (think CM Punk before MitB 2011) or getting a push even though nobody really wants you in the main events (think the numerous "Vince Mcmahon" guys who he's tried to push over the years)...
But of course, many other factors come into play.
As for how the game itself will work, put simply, it will be a role playing game mixed with a bit of the old prediction games we used to do on TFF. You'll dish out your stats while creating a character, make decisions, have random events pop up that need your reaction, interact with the likes of Vince Mcmahon and other wrestlers, form relationships, form rivalries and overall try to make it to the WWE hall of fame...
But as I said, full rules and stuff will be explained once it's up and running. But first I need to know how many people I'm likely to see taking part... honestly, it'll work with 4 people, and it'll work with 24. I just need to know so I can make a few changes as required...
So who's in?
Epic
Techno Natch
Baz
The Minsterman
Cas
Christian Slater
Spirederman
Luke
