Replay from 3 weeks ago after a shed load of rain made the pitch unplayable.

We've managed to rip off our own fans as well as Rovers by charging full price even for those who attended the first game and only saw 60 odd minutes worth of football. It's gone down like a turd in a coffee with both sets of supporters but hopefully we can talk some football in this thread. Besides, I couldn't make the first game so makes no odds to me, actually turned out quite well :hypo:

We're on a bit of a downer at the moment, need to turn it around ASAP or it could start getting difficult for Williams. Rovers will provide another tough test, think it'll be a draw.

1-1.

Darrell Clarke has today said that if he was a Gashead, he would boycott the game to make a stand. That is exactly what most of us are going to do.

We are playing relatively well at the moment and I don't think we are far away from turning our many draws into wins. Unfortunately I can see your prediction happening, but I'd be delighted if we can get a win under our belts as it would be a huge confidence boost.

Colkett to start hopefully!

Sendles-White is out for the season after being poleaxed by that fucker Pope - hope he gets his sometime soon, the cnut.

2nd half we were pretty good. 1st half we were ponderous and got dragged down to Bury's neanderthal level.

Not a clue. Reports from Rovers vary between 300-500. Be surprised if its much more than 7000 - if that.

Could be less than 5000 total attendence, so hopefully Power will lose money! if he had set the ticket prices at £15.00 he could have ended up with a 10000 gate , ah well teach the money grabbing mega maniac a lesson as far as im concerned, on to the game , reckon on a 1-1 draw with a Obika tap in for a share of the points.

It is bizarre how he's got this so wrong.

Always tried to keep an open mind as far as Power is concerned but he's indefensible on this one. I'm sure he thinks it'll all blow over but football fans never forget.

Now we're going to be left with a shit attendence in one of our two local derbies and he'll not make as much money as he would have knocking a tenner off the price. Reckon most fans would have accepted that and we'd have a proper midweek battle in front of a large audience.

All he's done here is turn the fence sitters against him and soured his reputation in the game. No logic.

Lew Power is very likely one of those people in position of power that will always think they are right and therefore cannot admit they are wrong. Too damaging to the ego.

Half the price and 4x as many away fans would be turning up. But it's not just about the money. Pretty confident BRFC would act differently (especially the new owners), but the fault here lies with one man rather than Swindon fans.

As for the football, anything could happen. We sat back and did very little the first game. These are less predictable times (since before DC) so anything from 3-0 to 0-3. Hoping Colkett starts, the boy is absolute class.

I've got a good feeling about this one. It's going to "click " tonight. 4-1 Gas victory.

To be fair, Power says he will make a personal appearance for the Rovers fans to ease any tensions

He could have had even more £10 notes if he'd not been such an amazing businessman re: this game ;)

Not going myself, having to pay more than I did last time was the final straw for me. Hoping for a win but 4pts from the next 2 would be good!

I'm going tonight as i missed the 1st game, looking forward to it.

I'm hearing that Swindon have more injuries in midfield and defence although they do have the two players sent off against Oxford back. here's hoping DC does his thing and re-jigs the side to start with Lines and Colkett as we look dangerous with both on the park. I've no idea what the score will be but hoping for an away win and two fingers up to power.

Boring fact: If we draw we equal our record for consecutive draws at 5.

Draws are a strange thing. You can't work out if you're shite and just got lucky or decent and just been unlucky.

Very much the first against Rochdale, second against Walsall. Unsure on Bradford given I didn't go, although willing to bet it was the latter.

So none the wiser really.

We were so unlucky not to beat Southend and Walsall but didn't play that well against Rochdale. Then on Saturday at Bradford we put in a proper away performance and a point was a good one, even though there were chances for both teams to win it.

I personally think we are getting better and moving in the right direction. It'll be a really tough game tonight but there's no reason why we can't go out and win it if we play like we are capable of. As I touched on yesterday, I'd love Colkett to be given a start because he has the potential to be a class above for us this year.

Our Supporter Liaison Officer has tweeted to say we've sold 374 tickets. More than I'd have liked but I think it'll show Lee Power that football supporters should not be treated like cash cows. I hope it hits him in the pocket because he'd have got a much larger attendance of home and away supporters had he done the decent thing and knocked money off the original admission prices.

Bloody hell. DC signed Boateng and Colkett who have looked decent players but has reverted back to the midfield that got dominated against Swindon in the first game. I'm holding out hope that DC occasionally throws out an odd line up which comes good, but I'm actually thinking the worst for tonight. Love DC but he really, really needs to pick something and stick to it. Taylor seemingly out wide tonight (which he does do a good job in when seen before but to accommodate a hapless Gaffney i'm not so sure about)

2-0 Swindon.

Bristol Rovers fans your manager always seems to change the starting 11 each week, surely that makes it hardier for the players to get any consistency going if its a different system each game? 1-1 draw.

Something he has always done, and probably always will. In all fairness, with back to back promotions, the proof is in the pudding that he usually gets it right more often than not. But it's been more difficult this season with the added step up in quality in a short space of time. Some of the fringe players are not quite L1 quality. DC's comments on changes has been the long trip to Bradford on Sat leaving some with tired legs hence four changes tonight, we'll soon see if he got it right.

According to our commentary, Swindon came out on fire and made it pay during the first 5 minutes. Then we've dominated the next 40 but only caused pressure and not chances. This start of the season has been massively frustrating.

Sounds like we thoroughly deserved that - bar the 5 minutes at the start of the game!

Outstanding result! UP THE GAS!

Bloody hell, what a turn around. Sounded thoroughly deserved though, going off the commentary we were the substancially better side (although that can be misleading)

Hopefully gets the season moving now, jumped up well and in an acceptable position.

Well done Rovers. Totally deserved. We were fucking shit and in for a season of turmoil unless we sort our shit out. Clueless performance.

Bottling wankers.
Sums it up perfectly. Hope this latest debacle turns out to be the catalyst for change.

What's that definition of madness? Continually repeating something and expecting a different result?

I'm just an ignorant fan but even I can see that our 3 at the back is fucked by just simply playing the ball into the space behind them and chasing it - which Rovers did well. How such a basic tactic is allowed to dominate game after game without change baffles the fuck out of me.

We've got a decent set of players run by a useless manager who either wont, or isn't allowed, to change. What more evidence is needed than 4 wins out of 20 that 352 is a heap of shite.

Is there any support for the theory that consistently losing at Wembley has made you inherently prone to bottling it?

a fully deserved victory last night, we outfought and out played Swindon for 85mins ad it was just a matter of time before we would score, two in a minute though was mint!

I thought we completely outplayed Swindon last night. We made a slow start but from the 5th minute onwards we dominated the game and we restricted Swindon to just the odd chance on the break.

A well deserved 3 points. Amazing how different this game was to the abandoned match a few weeks ago.

They were hammering us in the first fixture too right? I'd be livid as a Swindon fan tough pill to swallow.

Good to hear our performances are finally turning to wins. We just need to take more of our chances then, a penalty and own goal sounds like we got a bit lucky, but i'll take it
