Such a pointless match for Swindon as their slim playoff hopes faded after a disastrous easter. With vigouroux and sendles-white close to bring back, Swindon will hope to get back to winning ways.

After the poor start of the season I will take a top half finish however. With some potential tasty games in league one next season, With the likes of Oxford, Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers coming up.

Predictions? 2-2 I think

Before the season started I had a reasonable lump on Gills at 2/1 to finish above Swindon.
I thought 2/1 was a decent price for a 'match'.
Quite fancy my chances of picking up on that one:2thumb:

I know, it's exciting isn't it?
In fact, when I get my pretty beads I will make you some lovely bracelets, one for your mum, one for your sister, one for your aunty and one for your nan.

Now, how many is that I will need???

Already put 5 past Swindon this season who have conceded 10 in their last two matches. Optimistic we'll get something out of the match

Back to the exciting game we have in store on Saturday. 2 rubbish teams will serve up a boggling borefest. Without Obika we are impotent up front and our tactics could be nullified by an 11 year old manager.

Goalless.

Probably my last game of the season. Imagine spending £375 on a season ticket and going 7 times! Value for money it ain't! Not bothering next season, will try and go to more away games instead.

Why would you make bracelets and give them to a bunch of dead and non-existent strangers you weirdo?

Absolute shite. Fleetwood were dire but should have had 3 or 4 easily. We'd struggle in the Conference with this team - and that's the truth. Our shocking 'defence' manages to get worse game by game.

It's bleedin' obvious that Williams hasn't got the faintest idea on how to get a defence organised yet seems to be willingly wedded to a 'system' that is painful to watch when you're just waiting for the inevitable mistakes.

We are truly in the midst of a mighty fall.

you were talking about an unlikely play-off push a week or so ago, now you're on the precipice. you've been mercurial in a mercurial league this year. maybe some perspective is needed.

I don't mean this particular season but the immediate future.

We're only going one way and the best we can hope for is L1 mediocrity

2 awful teams today. The level of ineptitude in show was staggering. The number of times basic passes were under hit was infuriating.

Not sure how we could have had 3 or 4 ID, thought we were lucky to escape with a point given our horrendous defending, Belford kept us in it with two one on one saves.

I don't think Williams knows his best midfield. Rodgers in and out, Traore in then out, Bob, seemingly, out.

Only Doughty and Louis seem constants. Can't make my mind up whether the 3 CBs are all just shite, or just can't play in the manner asked, or are let down by the middle 5.

Summat's got to change, though as we're going nowhere playing, or attempting to play, the 'Swindon way'. It's embarrassing.

The system obviously works cos City romped the league last season plating 352 - but their players were better than the other club's players.

This season their players are not better than everyone else's, so they've had to change system - the sensible thing to do.

Yet we carry on with the kamikaze stuff when it's obvious the players aren't good enough to play it

Long term gains.
Agree with everything you say, our defence is atrocious, how Power wants us to play is just plain stupid etc etc but how can you blame Williams? It may turn out that he's worse than Hart/Malpas et al but at least give him a bit of time.

It's clear he has to do whatever Power says, I don't think any of us envy him as far as that's concerned and it's his first managers job so it's going to take time. As for not knowing best formation/midfielders, can you blame him? One minute we're on a 10 match losing streak then all of a sudden we go 8 matches unbeaten followed by 4-1 and 6-0 defeats. I should think he's as fed up with it all as we are.

Didn't go to the game and my season tickets getting less and less use. Power gave up weeks ago when the loanees were reduced. Painful viewing us play.
The total passing mantra is crazy as it doesn't work and isn't good to watch.

I simply don't get it we get free kicks in areas we can cross it into our centre backs yet choose to pass it around which invariably ends up with a back pass.
One look at our bench tells the story just kids and pub players.
Not sure I want to line powers pockets next season and will wait to see who he doesn't sign.

Midfield a the main issue we replaced gladwin, luongo and Byrne with Robert, traore, Rodgers, brophy, and balmy. Sure we have 2 loanees but that midfield is way to lightweight and national league quality without the loanees.
Having no decent cover for obika is other issue.

How fleetwood hit the woodwork that many times yesterday without scoring says it all.

We need a big clear out this summer. I'd get rid of

Belford
Balmy
Brophy
Rodgers
Traore
Hylton
Smith
Storey
Turdball
Stewart
Kasim

One more win should see us safe.

The highlight of the game was the comedy gold sequence where Fleetwood hit the woodwork three times in the space of about 10 seconds, and then blazed wide.

Can see why they are struggling with finishing like that. A half decent side would have scored at least four against us.

Have to agree with the fellow town fans. We were lucky that the Fleetwood forwards had clown shoes on yesterday otherwise we'd have been battered.

On the occasions we moved it forward well, we should have had a penalty, scored and hit the bar which shows we can be potent.

The defence is shambolic at the moment, real comic cuts at times. Let's clear out and start fresh in the summer to improve the squad. If we can recruit Vigs, Doughty and keep Ajose and Obika and build around them with quality we should be looking to do better. Waiting until the last minute and recruiting the rubbish left available like we did this season (Balmy, Ojamaa and many others I've already forgotten about) to save money hasn't worked. We've been lucky Obika and Ajose's goals have been enough to keep us up in this awful league this season.

Two points dropped from us I'm afraid. Highlights of the day was the decent weather, £2.50 for a pint of carlsberg in the Merlin and the magic roundabout.
