I know this is a tad early but it's both of our next games, and we didn't play last weekend either. Need a thread!

The table could look more daunting should Preston win their 2 games between now and this game.

Should be a good one this!

Hopefully home advantage will help, as we really need to win this bearing in mind the following game is City away

Us to come back from behind yet again and win 2-3. Should be fun either way but I really can't see this ending in anything but a win for us, you're one of those sides we just don't f*** up against, even last season when we were beyond shit and with half the squad on sick notes we still won at the County Ground.

I think someone posted all the possible outcomes on otib, and it showed it was impossible for that to happen (due to swindons game being called off last week)

Well that's just guaranteed a 2-0 home win.

Did you have to start this thread so early? As it's Swindon I have my Franchise bingo card at the ready. :gr:

Brave words. They were excellent against us at s:mk earlier in the season and fully deserved their half time lead. Yes, we turned it round but for me that was the best two footballing teams in the division going toe to toe and on another day...etc.

It should be a cracker but I'm not sure we can go there and keep a clean sheet, and in a tight match that'll be crucial.

On a positive note, I've seen that a lot of teams who've gone three at the back against us this season have been ripped apart down the flanks (Powell's best games have all been when he's just not been picked up. Sounds obvious, of course, but when he's given that sort of freedom to run at teams he'll cause anyone problems). We MAY get a lot of joy if that's how Swindon are still lining up.

No prediction yet. Let's see if all our internationals come through unscathed after the weekend.

With a draw not being any good for either team, it should be a good game.

I can't wait but I may miss it on the box as its one of my best mates stag dos in bristol and he hates football. Quite a few others that are going are swindon fans though so I'm sure we'll get our way.

It's unlikely but it is still possible. If we were to beat Barnsley and Oldham and Mk were to beat Swindon, that would leave the standings on Easter Monday as:

City 40 89
MK 39 72
Swindon 38 70

So then if we beat Swindon that would put us 22 points ahead of them with 7 games to play. We would also need MK to drop points at home to Scunthorpe, which would leave them at least 19 points behind with 6 games to play

Scunthorpe is a Tuesday night at home so that is nailed on draw or defeat.

Swindon's three at the back at S:MK left Powell with a free run at Stephens. Worked well in the 2nd half.

More than confident of 3 points here.

After a disappointing few weeks, Michael Smith was fantastic at Donny and his drop off in form coincided with our blip.

They'll bottle it again

Powell was fantastic against us first half at your place - got found out in the second though, they'll need to keep him quiet.

Swindon win and they're still well and truly in the hunt for 2nd, MK win and it would take a hell of a cockup for PNE to throw it away, especially with still having to play Swindon at Deepdale

Swindon 2-1 MK

Swindon will go 1-0 up and then completely bottle it again and lose 1-2.

In all seriousness, I didn't realise how good our record against Swindon was - in the last 8 meetings, we have won 6.

5-0 Swindon.

A 0-0 stalemate between two play-off sides.

I'll be drinking Efes in the sun for this one.

Its going to be a game between two good sides and I think we'll cancel each other out.

My prediction is a 2-2 draw

Can see MK winning what should be an entertaining game.
Both teams to score on the coupon for me this week.
What part of Turkey you going to Agombar?

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened to be honest. We lost 6-1 to a strong QPR side today in a friendly, useful for match practice given we aren't playing for a while! The result not that important really!

Heading to Kusadasi LW, it's about an hour from Izmir. We have an apartment here so usually head over for Easter just before the Brits abroad head over! :) love the food and beer in Turkey, and they know to show the Swindon games in our local bar on ladies beach - weirdly we were on the box last time we were over at Easter.

Ahh, Daniel Powell.

The distinctly average L1 midfielder who, when waking up on the morning of a match against Oldham Athletic, drinks a formula of performance enhancing ingredients, and turns into a Pele / Maradona / Cruyyf / van Basten hybrid.

His contract is up in the summer and he has Championship interest apparently so we will do well to hold on to him. I guess it all depends when the scouts watch him because he is either unstoppable or awful and nowhere inbetween.

Shame (for you) that you dont still have us to play. You could have given Karl "Miracle Worker" Robinson a heads up to get all scouts from the Premier League, Championship, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, La Liga et al to turn up and witness a performance that'd make Messi look like Ronny Rosenthal.
