Meaningless game really now unless a miracle happens and MK Donalds and Preston actually lose a game for a change. Oh we have to win as well but if Walsall set up like Yeovil then we'll be fucked if they score first. I think that's the problem with the way we play, if we go a goal behind we rarely seem to come back and win as the opposition just need to sit in and be disciplined as we play our predictable way. I know people have gone on about having a plan b, for me the plan b has to be wingers. When teams dig in we have to stretch the play and get in behind rather than going from side to side and through the middle. Byrne, good player though he is, frustrates me because he always wants to cut inside, making us narrow again. I just wish he would go on the outside more often and cross the fucking thing! The problem is we haven't got any wingers and we're not likely to bring any in during the summer as whatever league we're in we'll probably play the same way. I suspect we'll still be in league one to be honest but who knows?
Swindon were the best side I've seen at the Bescot all season, if they turn up, they could wipe the floor with us. We are in better form. 6 unbeaten, 5 cleansheets, 4 draws, 2 wins and an entirely fit squad for only the 4th or 5th time this season. Given Swindon may be on the beach until play-off time, almost 5/1 for us to win looks a decent price IMO. Especially when you add in the Swindon defeat on Saturday and the tendancy for teams secured in the playoffs to drop off for a few weeks.
Won't be many more than 100 Saddlers, poor I know, but it's a nothing game, late in an expensive season when people may still be factoring Wembley into things.
2-1 Swindon.
Think we will give you a good game though.
As I sit in a petrol station just outside of Cirencester in a broken down car, I have to now admit that Swindon Away 2015 is dead, and so probably is tomorrow morning and afternoon
Why didn't I just stay at home for this nothing game
