Seeing this result and how United have performed this season makes me think just how lucky Bristol City were to get Steve Cotterill instead of Nigel Clough (assuming City were ever in the running for him). Since Clough moved up from non-league his managerial record has been very average, whereas Cotterill (an unsuccessful stint at Burnley apart) has gone from strength to strength.

No chance we'll score at Wembley

Garner and Beckford will have field days playing against any of these two defences.

And Gallagher. And Johnson. I'd even fancy Kilkenny to grab a header if he's against that Swindon defence.

It was all going well until Killa got mentioned - even that's too far!

Different story just over 12 months ago. Sheffield United beat us 3-0, moving them clear of safety and us firmly rooted in the relegation zone. I've never experienced a more low point than that as a City fan. I remember thinking how lucky United were to get Clough, who had guided them out of trouble with relative ease, while we looked destined for the drop under Cotterill. What a difference a year makes...

Really want a 4th Sheff U goal here to make it a grandstand finish for the neutral.

Enjoyed this. Agreed on all the comments regarding the defences. Pretty pleased we didn't sign McEveley.....

The defending ( if you can call it that) has been awful. Schoolboy stuff.

Cracking game. Not for the purists, sure. But so, so watchable.
