With the top of the Championship as tight as ever, how will the table look at the end of the season, and who will win the playoffs based off your table?

1. Derby (More hope than expectation ;) )
2. Middlesborough
3. Bournemouth
4. Norwich
5. Watford
6. Ipswich/Brentford

Norwich to win playoffs from that.

I'll go for

Derby
Norwich
---
Middlesbrough
Watford
Bournemouth
Brentford
---
Ipswich
Wolves

Watford to win the playoffs

There is 4 points from the closest team above Wolves and 7 points from the nearest team below us... So I think it's a safe bet to say we'll finish 8th

Roversfan2001, do you think you can make up a 15 point gap on Bournemouth and a huge goal difference swing to overtake them in 14 games?

I was referring more to the point that Blackburn are miles behind anybody. I think the only team possible of breaking into the top 7 is Wolves and even then I can't see it happening. Your draw at home to Blackpool whilst teams around you were winning by 3, 4 and 5 goals kind of emphasized that.

Good luck though.

We still have quite a few games against teams in the top 7 though, get wins/draws in them and we are close.

This is the table I got:
1z39z0k.png

Now obviously this is based on recent form (and probably bias too) so Derby won't break 100 points and it won't take 82 points to get 6th etc. but tables will look outlandish when predicted this early on.

I find it pretty hard to believe you think you'll pick up 15 more points than us (5 wins), or the other teams in the play offs, before the end of the season with just 14 games to go, when you only have 2 wins in your last 10... (and they were against Rotherham and Fulham)

Our run in from here is actually pretty good, we only play 2 of the top 8 again before the end of the season, and that is where we have dropped most of our points. If we can pick up 7/9 points out of the next 3 games, which isn't that unlikely, then I think we'd be in great shape for the Top 6.

Next 3 games: Blackpool (H), Birmingham (A), Huddersfield (H)

All I'm really confident on is Derby going up and Blackpool down. Boro I thought would get autos comfortably but they seem to have slipped up now, and I'm still not ruling Wigan out, two wins on the bounce and they'll be well up for it and there's still 14 to go, but obviously they need to do it soon.

Not sure how Blackburn can be confident of such a run considering they couldn't beat Blackpool at home.

Our draw on Saturday was more down to bad luck than anything. We hit the bar twice and got one cleared off the line I think. Any other day we'd have won 2 or 3-1

Alternatively, using the predictor I used, let it predict all results for you and this comes out;

1. Bournemouth - 88pts
2. Derby - 83pts
3. Middlesbrough - 82pts
4. Norwich - 78pts
5. Watford - 78pts
6. Ipswich - 75pts
7. Blackburn - 74pts
8. Brentford - 69pts

That suggests that it will come down to us vs. Ipswich on the final day for 6th place. What a game that would be.

It may not but basing a table off recent form is the best way to see.

Well that'd see my pre-season prediction of 8th come in. 13 points from 14 games would be extremely disappointing though. Not sure even I'm as negative to suggest we'll only win a maximum of four more games this season.

That predictor comes out different every time, despite apparently using recent form to predict it.

You'll be going for the top two, admit it.

Nah, we're in a decent run of form at the moment but it can't go on forever. We'll start dropping points again soon which will give you, Middlesbrough and Bournemouth some breathing space. Think it's unlikely we'll make up ground on 2/3 of you - one of you, maybe. It should be the play-offs for us.

Wigan/Fulham relegation party and Wolves to finish with a positive goal difference? Would take that!
